Moving Forward

Every moment, the choice exists as to how we perceive the energy within and around ourselves.  We do not perceive the world as it is, rather we perceive the external based on the state of our internal environment. As consciousness expands, we receive, decode, transmit energy differently.

Moving forward, each of us decides consciously or unconsciously how to function.  We decide whether to allow our perception of the external world to shape how we feel and function or, recognize that how we breathe, feel and vibrate shapes our sense and experience of everything.

Come what may, change is always within reach.  One area of life is interconnecetd to all others. Being present is about living with more clarity, confidence and harnessing unseen power.  Whatever prevents living more fully can be identified and transformed through conscious recognition. Everything can be related to the rhythm of the breath.  Attentive listening is key.

Get out of that dilemma

I am sometimes asked why share Zen stories as part of my workshops and group sessions. In a nutshell, Zen stories may confuse or leave one hanging, yet they do not impart information or knowledge. They are designed to to get rid of something, to get rid of a false problem with which you are wrestling so that the problem will disappear as the result of understanding the story.  In this way, they invite joining the dots like stars into constellations and evoke eureka moments.

There was a Master walking, engaged in forest meditation with a group of his disciples.  Suddenly, he picked up a tree branch and said to one of the monks, "what is it?" As the monk hesitated , did not answer immediately, the Master hit him with it.  Then, the Master turned to another monk and asked, "what is it?" That monk said, "Give it to me so I can see."   The Master tossed it and the monk hit the Master.  The Master said, "Well, you got out of that dilemma."

When we look for the mind that seems to be giving us so much trouble and realize it cannot be found, this is a pointer to the solution to our perceived problem. A dilemma is like a physical stick that many people hold within themselves, dwell on, discuss or allow to fester. Focusing on dilemmas harms ourselves. Letting go, going with the flow, acting spontaneously, implies less thinking, and more savouring this moment as it is. A dilemma is a state of mind. Albert Einstein echoes we cannot solve a problem with the same level of consciousness that creates it.  We can always tune in, and allow the rhythm of the breath to guide us. The power resides within.

10 Revelations to prick the ears

Whatever seems to be transpiring in your life at this moment is not the energy you are reading.   Whether or not you realize it, you are in the process of reevaluating what has lasting value.

Part of the reason you arrive at this stage of awareness is you prepare to open doors to expand perception.  So long as you continue to attune to energy, discard what is not working, you get all that much closer to  understanding the experiences that share eternal truth.  Consider 10 revelations to prick the ears;

1) Decide you do not want and ensuing events do not matter.

2) Move beyond names and form to heal false vulnerabilities.

3) Sense energy rhythms need not be affected by personality.

4) Detect potential weaknesses are polarities of true strength.

5) Realize effectiveness grows by how you feel, act and react.

6) Embrace lessons you gain from every cycle of energy flow.

7) Choose to perceive blessings in apparent tragedy or crises.

8) View turbulent emotions as the road to deeper inner peace.

9) Know the grief of what might have been, and yet is not to be.

10) Enhance the immune system and spirit with consciousness.
