Equanimity is what you are

Notice the resistance that arises at the prospect of facing adversity. Sitting meditation in silence offers ideal conditions for preliminary practice, to develop tools to face what evokes discomfort, and yet, sitting as such is not the real thing. True meditation happens when you are amidst the action, the chaos, when you face impossible people, intense emotions, unavoidable situations. During such conditions, can you keep the mind in silence, solitude and peace? To do so, we must first raise awareness and stop attacking ourselves. Many of us have a mind split into a victim, rescuer and/or attacker for ourselves or "others". We may even change roles. Still, when we are fiercely equanimous, we do not perpetrate or yield to threats, do not cave at emotional manipulation or implications, remain unaffected from attacks and guilt-trips that come from our superego, our own unconscious. We dissolve it by refusing to ratify it. By calmly abiding, we see through the unreal. The ego mind attacks, would like us feel bad about ourselves, stuck in a spiral. The only way out of it is to stop being an ego self, be unaffected by desire or fear, pain or enjoyment. Our true practice is to come to view suffering as a mental exercise. Most of us are taught to fear death, pain and other challenges. Yet, to a Zen master, all are great blessings. The view is our enemies are our greatest gifts to evoke love, passion, forgiveness, self-empowerment in the realisation of the unity of all that is. They guide us to let go of the ego mind, that which would like to be in pain, to be in a state of inadequacy, guilt, shame, attacking or peaceless self -justification or self-reproach. These are all false relationships with the real. The Supreme Being is within us. Only through awareness and alignment with Soul can we claim this power. A guru cannot give it. Mantras or other spiritual practices do not give it. One must claim it and with the power of will, integrate it into our life. It happens when we are in a state of deep honesty and truthfulness with ourselves. If we allow it, our inner voice can sting us worse than a sword. Let us focus on remaining in unwavering stillness. Let us not react, but move instead into that state that dissolves into the pureness of our Being which is love. Let us follow our breath. Get into the mind of silent presence. This vital life force, or equanimity is what you are and it cannot be lost.

Clarity reveals itself

Notice the nature of what you see and experience directly reflects your version of the Truth. Everything you do and do not do is a language expressed as energy in motion. If you see your life as upside down and topsy-turvey, then confusion and vertigo seem very real. As you find balance in the middle of nowhere, then calm abiding grows more accessible. As you begin to expand and appreciate different points of view, then everything is a mirror. As you continue to work out what matters, and stay open to stretch yourself, explore new shores and realize nothing is out of reach.

Attain a deeper state

Notice when you are not attempting to control your experience, all that remains is for you to watch, listen and be. You may come to tune into the watching, the awareness, notice its something quite fluid and flowing from one point of awarness to another. You may notice how your body feels, sensations arising and falling. You may tune into the silence or intermittent sound. Allow awareness to go rather than where you want it to go. Deep relaxation happens as we let go of control. Even as we let go of attempts to relax, something magical happens without us. There is no effort to sustain anything; not a thought, a pleasant or unpleasant feeling, or a memory. Every sensation lasts as long as it lasts, and is allowed to dissipate. Awareness may decide to stop and rest. Notice awareness moves as it wants to, where it wants to go, no attempt to control it. No effort need be made to stop anything from happening. Instead of seeing where you can direct awareness, you await seeing where awareness can take you wherever it wants. This may be somewhere or nowhere. Be like water. Notice watching water flow freely has a way of unwinding you, your thoughts and body. Nothing is pushed away but allowed to take its natural course. Listening to the wind blow, is akin to listening to the flow of the breath and water. There is no end to allowing everything be as it is. Every instance of letting go guides you to the next opportunity to repeat this. Attaining a deep relaxed state may happen, but there is no goal to stay or move. Notice your own allowing and resistance. No need to enhance anything.

Experience life in its best light

Notice life is inviting us to download the energy and vibrations of the entire cosmos unto our own self. In this, those who may be seen as guides, teachers, or mentors, can only plant a seed, guide us to the path of greater awareness. The rest is up to individual free will, dedication and devotion, and the will to turn inward. Else the world is free to either reject, or discard the seed, or to criticize/ reject one who offers the seed, as has been witnessed before. The enlightened or awakened One has nothing to lose, only the world does. Freud echoes the unconscious mind is the primary source of human behaviour. This overlooks the role of brainwashing, electromagnetic interference and distortions. In Truth, it is not the Earth that isn't at peace but a person may be energetically disconnected or unable to tune into or fears peace vibrations. One's core frequency or higher state of consciousness knows the real is peaceful and unreal is illusion. At a pivotal moment, it dawns peace has always existed on Earth, and goes unnoticed or hidden in thought or energetic interference. When the mind is chaotic, we project a chaotic world full of problems. Even when the external seems chaotic, events unfold in perfect order. True peace is felt as one moves through/ integrates negative or low vibrational thoughts. Meditation, spiritual practice and neural entrainment with key sounds, help one to stabilise extraordinary mind states linked to mystical experiences and perfect bliss (satchitananda). We are both a dream and God of the universe. Life is experienced in its best light Only when we are at peace with self, full of love and acceptance, not in serious mode.

Decode peace of mind

Notice an early morning walk and meditation in Nature sets the stage for an uplifting day and energizing moments. Settling into a new environment during major transitions is all about knowing peace of mind is the new sense of  "success", "wealth", "fulfilment" and "self-love", all rolled into one. Allow a timeless state to expand awareness and polish perception. Constricted awareness is tense, closed, insecure, and "stuck." Expanded awareness is open, carefree, secure, and flowing. Be here Now for life to expand and flourish. State of awareness is the lens through which we see a 3D world. Cosmic consciousness allows one to tap into or access multidimensional worlds and interstellar travel.
