Some people sense success is basically learning to accept whatever ideas arise in the mind, while recognizing you are a silent observer of what transpires. Yet, what if the quest for truth is the tip of the iceberg? How do you tell if a vision is yours?
If you think of Neo in the film The Matrix, success for him becomes a question of disbelieving the senses, deconstructing his memories, and redefining what is possible. Like Neo, we each become the vibrational equivalent of what we ask for in our world, and may discover we didn't really want what our minds projected.
How is it a human being can evolve to observe and experience directly without getting influenced by emotion, judgment and the pull to interpret right or wrong? You may sense that heat, pressure, tension and other perceptions, aren't necessarily controlled by your body or mind. What would that mean to your vision of success? Where are you headed and for what purpose? Need you be motivated to "succeed?" or, is 'just being' a kind of success because of what and where you are?
People become focused on what they feel would be required to succeed. Yet, who asks you to perform which tasks? Why must you do anything? What drives you? If suffering, fear and desire don't manage to capture your complete attention, then you may deduce you control your mind. To realize you needn't run backward or forward brings you to savor the experience of the moment. Is that your success?
At a fundamental level, success is a kind of pure observation. You needn't be directed or driven by thoughts. You needn't grasp them intensely or shy away out of fear. This mindfulness is not indifference. Yet, it means you move beyond ordinary attention. You discover the nature and underlying motives of thoughts themselves.

Success is defined by each person. The question is weather the defintion of success is driven by ego or by spirit. Your defintion of success is spirit driven. I love the path you are on. Very wise you are!
You are indeed a blessing. As you say, we express views from where we are at a given time. Whether we consciously know it or not, we each desire to align ourselves with views broader than our own. We wish to move beyond our own illusions.
In my mind, to act from a perspective aligned with the deepest part of the soul, implies a person has evolved to be lucid, to discern sharper instincts, to realize who you are is different than who you think you are. In a similar way, how a person views personal success may differ from the kind of success that person evolves toward.
I appreciate your views and insight. We all have potential to learn from each other. We only ever retain information and perspectives that we're ready to receive.
You might say I'm beginning to grasp that observation is a tool that can perpetuate our own illusions or, it can become a means to help us better understand why we attract what we don't want. This revelation about success and its link to the senses is very positive. It enables anyone to grasp they can send more powerful thoughts into the universe that invite what they really do want. Our emotions offer clues.
