Blindness can awaken you

Dream Analysis of the week:

An eye surgeon is preparing for surgery with a male and female assistant.  Each wears green operating room scrubs and sunglasses.  Very bright light enters the room through a round hole in the ceiling.  The surgeon is telling his assistants that his practice is built on making people physically blind so they allow themselves to see. I am waiting outside a dark -looking cave.

This dream highlights selective blindness, a willingness to expand perception and raise awareness. Consider that the surgeon, assistants, patient and every dream symbol that stands out offers you a meaningful message.  Notice how you feel about them.

Blindness often symbolises a refusal to be aware of the truth or denial of the underlying reason for a perceived problem.  Yet here, the patient is symbolically ready to go blind as a means to let go of conditioned beliefs, attachments and mental filters that prevent him from seeing things as they are. The hole in the ceiling may represent the opening of the third eye and the allowing of inner light and wisdom to flow more freely. The roundness of this hole draws attention to a sense of completeness, wholeness, perfection and the circle of life. Note whether you feel heavy or lightheaded.  Notice also how open you are to internalizing judgments.  Effective healing unfolds within.

The cave suggests a willingness to explore the unconscious mind and your emotions. Undergoing surgery points to increasing self-awareness or openness to whatever the heart and soul are to reveal. You only see what the mind is willing to accept.

This dream also draws attention to the innersight available to you now. You require no external sight to feel the truth. Release resistance and 'remove the shades' to see the perfect being you are.  Know nothing exists to work toward, and no procedure must be endured. True self is already present, whether you agree or not. Complete self-acceptance is your perfect state. This dream invites you to live that. Recognize what you hesitate to love and accept. Let go of fear. 'Being patience' is unnecessary.

Another point worth noting is many things exist in your midst that you do not yet choose to be conscious of. Selective remembering and forgetting are underlying themes.  What resonates with the heart, with your energetic pattern and life journey?  You are invited to awaken and reconnect with all of you in body-mind, soul spirit and harmonious multi-dimensional being.   Be aware of frequency, duality and shifts.

"The world is no a problem; the problem is your unawareness." - Osho

5 Tips to notice nothing and everything

Many people know what its like to think a lot, to feel restless and even torn between perceived options. You can be sitting somewhere and feeling tension about doing or not doing.  You may ask how to make this stop, even wonder how to liberate the mind.  Consider these five tips to notice nothing and everything that matters;

1. Pay closer attention- rather than give in to ignoring the situation or listening to your desire to escape, notice this invitation to recognize something the body is telling you about yourself.  What is the underlying reason for your self-doubt, fear or contemplative behaviour? Consider imbalance or negativity invite shift of attention.

2. Notice what you say to yourself- your word choices reveal a lot about self-worth and self-acceptance.  Consider the mind does not know you as well as it leads you to believe. It distracts you from core instincts and inner knowing by creating beliefs that make you think you are less than you are.  See the ego agenda for what it is.

3. Feel the nature of the situation- the experience perceived by the mind with its attitudes and sense of history has nothing to do with feeling reality. You experience what you think about.  So, if you wish to change a situation, begin by shifting what you see in it.  Listen to your intuition. What does this feel like? How can it help you?

4. Let go of struggle- the more you struggle, the more limited your awarenes and heavier you feel.  As tenstion mounts, emotional reactions also tend to get out of control. Frustration and self-criticism distort what other parts of you discern with clarity.  As you let go of struggle, you discover nothing to struggle about.

5. Assume nothing is missing- the reference for what is real is in the mind and emotions until your sense of what's real arises from the ground of being. From this point, the reference for how you function shifts. Only the fear-based mind notices anything is missing. The soul only knows perfection, love and acceptance now. Consider what is conditioned and innate and how it feels to let go of what you outgrow.

"Love is when he gives you a piece of your soul, that you never knew was missing."

Allow unfiltered light to shine

To view yourself as a person with a perceived identity, is to create reality using physical senses and psychological views of events. Yet, interpretation of reality is not actually reality.  You dream the dream of being human, focus on physical form until it loses its importance.  To recognize all you think is illusion allows mental filters to drop away.  To be present in this moment is to be aware of the higher self as it is and align with it.

Being aware is like allowing consciousness to recognize itself.  As you are increasingly transparent in every sense, you feel lighter and experience an incredible lightness of being.  Intrinsic light of being has different shades of brightness and vibrations. This is not something to grasp but is allowed or resisted. The multidimensional being that is you exhibits traits not discernable to the physical body. What you do not see still exists.

Notice the ebbs and flows of energy that emerge from and return to the source of everything. Unfiltered truth shines clearly through the eyes of soul. One perspective is that you incarnate to constuct and dismantle your own self-deceptions. You are the only witness to your own illusions. You are also the only judge and jury. To deepen inner-sight removes all barriers to knowing that unconditional love is what I am.

"Eyes are not forms, they are transparent, and what one really sees is the light of the soul in them." - Walter Russell

Let things be as they are

Feel what existence is like as you not only forgive without question, but you intuitively see beyond error.  There is no chaos, imbalance, nothing to undo or rectify.  You no longer act out of fear.  You perceive no problems, no need for solutions. Dissatisfaction and restlessness are gone.  You are not at war with the mind, or struggling to stop thinking.  You drop pretensions, drop hypocrisies, and willingly let go of conditioning.

Observe what happens as you let go of the attitude of control and manipulation.  Nothing anyone says or does fazes you.  What has no effect ceases to exist in your scope of awareness.    As you let go of agendas, let go of the desire to transform, to self- improve or better understand, related people and situations dissipate that are incompatible with your energy vibration.  The intention of realizing ambitions, becoming famous or accessing magical power do not cross the radar screen.  You no longer notice opportunities to actively bring these things into your experience.

As you let things be, the desire for more ceases. History is irrelevant. A sense of the past fades.  This is the returning to innocence, seeing things as they are without the filters of mind. You allow the natural state of being to reveal itself. Just being natural, being yourself is nothing extraordinary.  This is about noticing what is, that is all.

Consider when Lin Chi was asked, ”What has happened to you? People say you have become enlightened,” he shrugged his shoulders and said, ”Happened? Nothing. I cut wood in the forest, and carry water to the ashram – carry water from the well, cut wood because the winter is approaching.”

"Man is a social animal; an individual who is unsocial naturally or not accidentally is either beneath our notice or more than human." - Aristotle

Connect the dots

What does it feel like to travel to a place you say you have always wanted to visit and sense deep down that you have been there before?  Call it deja-vu. Call it a link to dreams you would like to better understand. Call it what you will. Every moment you are connecting the dots of what you see with those things you do not yet see.  Infinite perspectives exist.  Your focus of attention determines your priorities.  What you do not choose to see is still present.

From one perspective, you are coming full circle.  You are invited to meet the maker within, the maker of the journey and leaver of clues about truth of who you are.  It grows apparent that like the proverbial tortise, you never leave home, but always take this feeling with you.  Notice the feelings bubbling up from the depths of the soul.  The mind prompts you to travel far and wide in search of what you already have right here.  You seek to find all you want 'out there' and your purpose for being provides it already.  Reflect on what you think you want.  Then, feel the vibrations of heart for soulful insight.  It all leads you full circle.

"Everything's intentional. It's just filling in the dots." -  David Byrne
