Lose yourself

As a child, you begin to build an identity based on what you are told about yourself.   As a teen and adult, this identity is reinforced unless you explore love and discover what it is beyond conditioning.  Stories and images begin to stir the imagination, to create expectations for and assumptions about love in relationships.  When you judge someone as lovable or loving, you create a sense of separation from love. The process invites you to lose yourself.

Everybody feels unconscious guilt or discomfort if he has not uncovered true nature. You come to sense you cannot forgive anything you think is real.  Anything you think is real temporarily seems to own or control you.  As you begin to forgive yourself, this slowly dissolves the guilt and what is unreal falls away.  Its not what you do outside in the external world, but what you do inside that matters. pay attention to your thoughts.

Anything that disturbs you is a call for love. Once you begin to trust that you are loved, you can transcend the world and see it as an illusion.  You loosen up that separation and feel interconnectedness or oneness more.  As you allow yourself to disappear in oneness, you realize there is no you because you are everyone.  Whatever you see is the Self in a different form.  When you lose yourself, you actually find yourself, that which you are seeking is here.

Eventually, you go back to the being you have always been.  The observer and the observed arise from observation. The third factor is the cohesive quality of pure love.

Unless you realize the essence of true unconditional love, whatever you do in life is not satisfying.  Notice you can fool a human being about love but you cannot fool an animal.  They are attuned to deeper sensing. Watch how they sniff you with more than the physical nose. They see through illusion and experience love through every cell of the body.

In essence, every question is a seeking of love. The reply is always the same. Ultimately people only wish to confirm 'all is okay.'  The need arises from something deeper than the words.  Whatever emotion you are feeling, all you want is peace, contentment or security. All of this is encompassed in love that is being here.  Lose yourself.  Embrace true nature.

Allow all feelings to dance

As a living being, you are rediscovering what is natural.  Part of your nature is to discover all emotions and allow them to flow.  It is fine to express how you feel in the moment.  

Watch children in their candidness and spontaneity. They do not judge or second guess themselves. They are like a free flowing river unless someone reprimands them. If this happens, its like the river comes up against rocks or rapids.  Where do you buck the current?

Ponder how it serves you to dwell on anger, doubt, fear or other heavy energy. What happens as you allow discomfort to get implanted under your skin? Do you scratch the itch?

At some point, you are going to encounter people who disagree with you or, who are closed off to what you are experiencing. What you feel is alive and true for you even if it is not someone else's reality.  Be awareness. Surprise yourself. Peace is not something to be kept or forced. All emotions have peace inside them. You do not find peace.  It arises as you allow it to be here.

In essence, you are aware of space yet, space is not aware of 'you.'  What is real does not need saving or changing as the mind thinks it does.  Watch what happens as you allow all feelings to dance.  Each one is a teacher inviting you to see beyond external conditions to feel through the lens of soul. Through the divine eye, everything is appreciated as it is and for what it is.

Notice you share an experience differently with people.  You may think you express love differently to a friend, child, lover, parent and acquaintance, yet do you really? Only the mind is capable of judging and distinguishing different kinds of love. The heart simply loves.

Its not what you think

You may think certain things are missing in your life; a certain amount of money, the appropriate course of study, the perfect home, the right partner or relationship, business deal, opportunity, or condition.  Look closer.  Be aware you cannot tell life what you need.  Life reveals timeless insight and wisdom to you based on what you think you want.

You may hear people say you are what you think or you are what you do.  Step back.  Get completely clear.  Nothing is ever missing in life.  When you think this is the case, you forget who you are. When you know who you are, anxiety falls away. Whatever comes and goes, changes of state or conditions do not bother you.  What awaits discovery and recognition? Notice the witness of desires arising and falling away.  Notice what witnesses the silence.

The power of sound

Music offers a range or vibrations.  What you listen to is not always what you hear. You may underestimate the power of sound to uplift, renew and restore, and also to effect your flow.

Notice music effects your mood, sense of health and well-being. Notice certain kinds of music appeal based on your thoughts and emotions. If you feel sad, do you listen to music to wallow or do you reach for sounds that enable you to feel better? If you feel under the weather, or wish to shift focus after a hard day, do you instinctively tune the radio to a specific station? Reflect on genres of music that trigger a range of emotions. What attracts and alienates you? Notice what closes you off, evokes hard feelings. What soothes the soul is soft, peaceful, harmonious.  Notice whether you tune in your thoughts and words to the frequency of well-being or talk your way out of it.  You are not your words but may come to believe them.

As you act to raise your vibration, you also sharpen senses and open to higher awareness. Everything has a vibration even if your ears do not register. Know the range of sounds you think you listen to is not the only kind of sounds you hear. Vibrations penetrate consciously and unconsciously. All sound arises in and vanishes into silence. This quiet vibration is the loudest sound many people claim not to hear. Notice what apparent lack of sound feels like.  Under which conditions or where do you sense unconditional love, balance, or acceptance?

As an energy transmitter, you relay vibrations as a form of communication. The nature of your vibration affects the clarity of your vision, senses and the depth of your imagination. Each vibration has an impact on allowing or resisting harmony of body mind and spirit.  Have confidence to inquire beyond all notions.  Feelings are more intimate than thought. Reflect on what happens as you feel the sound and silent vibration of Tibetan Singing Bowls.

Be playful

Recall how it feels to be playful, spontaneous, loose and free-spirited.  If you forget how to be relaxed and have fun in the moment, observe a puppy, a kitten or a small child.  Watch how they know nothing matters and take things lightly.  Get a feather and tickle yourself silly. Ask a friend or companion to use the tips of the fingers to remind you how to release tension.

This is not about pondering the last time you laughed.  Its not about focusing on a future moment when you imagine you might get around to it.  Notice where your mind is when your child wants to play. Are you always focused in the same place, in this moment, or on something else you would rather be doing?Is your mind elsewhere? Snap out of it.  Light-heartedness is a core state. Turn attention to how glorious it is to be where you are.  Be here now. Lighten up!

Savour the sensations that are available. Balance a fork or ball on your nose. Dance in ways that set your body free,  Float along with the wind as you fly a kite or sail along a body of water. Watch sand ooze through the toes at the beach.   Bend a spoon with the mind. Play for the sheer joy of it.
