7 Ways to forgive your negativity

Many people find self-forgiveness to be very difficult. You may not realize how hard you are on yourself. Now is the moment to recognize you have a choice. You can decide to step back, explore and reframe what stands out.  Consider 7 ways to forgive lingering negativity;

1) Sense layers of experiences remain hidden inside you.

2) View forgiveness as an evolving process now and always.

3) Learn to discern when and whom you offend and why.

4) Recognize as you forgive others, you can also forgive self.

5) Open the mind to see beyond linear cause and effect.

6) Ponder the relevance of emotions as a guage for loving and accepting yourself.

7) Accept all thoughts and feelings as teachers.

Good advice Liara! I am glad that I have no problem forgiving myself. These days I try to live each day in consciousness, so I don't have moments where I regret something I did or said. But in the past forgiveness for self and others came quite easy and I feel blessed for that :)

Hi Liara,

Forgiveness is indeed divine and moving out of the negative state is a way to keep our heart open to the lessons that prevail. Forgiving ourselves is like an internal cleanser of the soul.

I have to agree that self-forgiveness is the toughest lesson I'm learning. As I learn to forgive others, and as you wrote, I'm finding I can do the same for myself. This is a lovely, lovely post.
Alexys, forgiveness is like a wave of loving reassurance. It is a sentiment witin reach to everyone. In fact, it enables human beings to get their bearings and rebalance during moments of emotional transition. Its all good!

Evita, as you move to that mental state where gratitude is a predominant force, your perception shifts in positive ways. Regardless of how much we assume we know, more valuable lessons exist to empower us to expand and grow differently. Consider this powerful quote by Lao Tzu:

"He who knows does not speak.
He who speaks does not know."

Hi Liara. Oh, I know I am hard on myself. Had a lot of practice. I can appreciate your statement to "View forgiveness as an evolving process now and always." That conjures of more of the Now. If it is something that is evolving, it is something that never ends and something you can't close the door on. I like that idea because it encourages practice... and humility at not being able to conquer something.

Better to forgive and forget, than to forget and not forgive.

Davina, many people are harder on themselves than they realize. Learn to be gentle, kind and loving with yourself. You are ever-evolving and constantly awakening to who you are. Every revelation is like a breath of fresh air.

Jannie, for many people, forgiveness is a process because people cling to negative emotions and discomfort for its sentimental value. As you learn to trust, you learn to work through resistance. Everyone can rediscover the release and renewal available to them. Forgiveness reflects how a person chooses to reconnect with soul love.
