Why hearing voices serves you

Spiritual development can be surprising and uplifting. To discern growth is multi-sensual creates a new baseline for acceptable, meaningful experience. To hear voices serves you as you grow to absorb timeless insight. Consider what hearing voices echoes valuable wisdom from your deepest soul;

1) Loving voices ground you. Inner voices that are sincere and genuinely offer wisdom never suggest harming the self or others. Some people equate innervoices with soul or higher intuition.  This guides healthy choices. Soul gives reasons to be aware, and just be.

2) Ego perpetuates itself. Every moment, you are invited to make sense of what you perceive is happening within and around you. When a voice urges you to focus on self-serving action, or what others think, its ego. This is not the real you.  Ego teaches you what you are not.  Stillness also speaks.

3) Energy awareness is evolving.  As human beings sense they are made of energy, they can raise consciousness to levels where they encounter spirit beings of unseen energy. This adds another dimension of voices. Humans sometimes encounter entities not highly-developed. You learn a range of  more and less developed spirit entities exist. Learning to communicate involves projecting love and peaceful energy to deal with them.

4) Meditation expands understanding. When voices echo loud and clear, quiet self-reflection or participating in healing group meditation can be beneficial. Its useful to take responsibility to realize possible reasons for receiving messages. Some people believe every being s chosen but not every person chooses to hear their call.  Spirit channelling is one possibility. Inter-dimensional dialogue is not limited to what you are consciously aware of at this moment.

5)Possible external influences interfere. Sometimes hearing voices is scary or figment of imagination. Where drugs and alcohol are ingested, lucidity is not present and one is not in a position of integrity. Under such circumstances, voices heard may be created out of delusion or fear. Whatever the case, the strongest inner voices speak to self out of love.  Awakening to your thoughts, feelings and habits is like another chance to live. You do with it now what you choose.

Dear Liara,

As always, your words touch a special place. For most of my recovery, I have tried to listen to those inner voices--and if we are open to listening, they will almost never steer us in the wrong direction. It is when I close myself off to that inner intuition that I am led astray. Thanks again, for the reminder.

Peace,

Melinda

Melinda, Robert Frost wrote a poem, The Road Not Taken. It begins:

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Every human being hears voices and chooses when to listen and when to block things out. The significance of what you hear or ignore is part of what shapes your life. Lessons are everywhere. No such thing as mistakes or wrong directions. You learn exactly what you require.

I always learn and remember things better when I speak to myself in a loving motherly way. Sometimes I encourage myself out loud (usually whan I am alone.) Say things like "Now Jannie, that was a good try - see how well you are doing, how you are getting it and trusting yourself!" This is mostly when I am working on a new guitar part. The good energy flows completely.

Hey Liara,

1) I agree with you: inner voices that are genuine transmit words of wisdom and usually guide us into the right direction (although our mind may fight their guidance).

2) Ego may be our friend at times (since it urges us to fight for what we need and want), but if not balanced it can turned our biggest foe.

3) I agree with you...

4) Meditation is a great tool to open the channel to (not only) our inner voice but also to the spritual realm, whose beings guide us (through useful messages and protection).

5) Aleister Crowley was a great Magus until the day he decided to use drugs to enhance his vision - big mistake.
Vanity also interferes with our inner voice.

Great article, Liara; thanks :D!

Cheers

Max, patience is a lesson many human beings have yet to master. A person knows impatience when the universe brings situations that evoke a desire. Historically, Aleister Crowley is certainly not the only person to follow the path you describe, and he is not the last. Many roads lead to Rome. That is, wisdom to be gained from listening deeply only seems to come from different sources. As the unease of ordinary unconsciousness is transcended, you grow aware remarkable things occur now and have always been.

Jannie, choosing to listen to loving voices is a meaningful way to be intimate with your own inner power. It is useful to recall a phrase by the wise mentor Yoda, "Do or do not, there is no try..."Ne never tries. One does or does not. To do is to nurture faith, trust and growing self-confidence. To choose not to do is based on fear or soemthing else. Its up to you to be alert and figure out underlying motives.

Molly, hearing voices can be a very reassuring thing. Writing and other creative self-expression are a means to awakening more fully to who you are, including untapped potential. Thanks for making time to visit and comment.
