Pay attention to nothing & why

Perceived problems arise when you focus attention on objects, events and sensations that reinforce your belief in time and space.  What if all your supposed issues are easily dissolved by simply paying attention to nothing? How then can you identify situations that do not matter and free yourself from them?

1) Initiate shifts in awareness.  A human being is unable to think at the same time as be fully aware of space and silence. You may think you multi-task effectively, but you are unable to focus full attention on more than one place at one time.  Sources of disruption, stress or anxiety all compel you to think. Mental training allows you to learn to turn it off at will.

2) Bring the unmanifest to your attention. People do not usually focus on what they do not see.  And yet, as you grow aware something holds up the physical forms you experience, you trigger new levels of awareness.  You withdraw energy from what appears to be going on outside and turn inward.  To develp a sense of the formless dimension empowers you to evolve.  You begin to realize all form  dissolves and nothing matters as much as you thought.  You gain perspective.

3) Reframe your sense of reality.  To realize layers of energy exist gives you insight into spaces you currently see and do not see.  You are conscious of your own perceved dimensions of time and space. They frame a sense of physical existence.  As you sense energy form is impermanent and unstable, you nurture fear about what may or may not be and create misperception of what you are.  Detaching from these brings you face-to-face with presence.  You transcend illusion.

I like this one. I think i trained myself to detach my thinking from objects and events that bring my energy down, instead i try focus on the future picture/solution, i try to invest my energy on future vs past. Sometimes people around me get me as cold emotionless stone vs sensual warm human just because of it, even closest ones...
Alik, detachment is a useful exercise. Human beings do not always distinguish among aloofness, indifference and the impact of detachment. It is useful to realize that you are never closer to inner peace than right now. This baffles people who train themselves to assume everything good is in the future. Nothing you have ever done or experienced changes what is. You choose your focus. It is always very possible to move beyond cycles of drama. Yet to do so, it is necessary to see them as they are, accept what matters and permit the rest to fade into insignificance.

Hi Liara,

Our posts are in sync.

When we shift awareness, we are shifted in time and space. We look at life with another set of eyes and we see depth that we didn't see before. As long as we keep moving, we keep growing and as long as we keep growing, we keep moving.

I once asked a question about wondering where the essence of this one particular thought came from and I found my self falling deep into nothingness. I was blanketed by blackness. I believe I just was. It was timeless. I could have been there only a second or forever. I had no perceived identity. But then I saw a point of light, a star, on the horizon. I raced for it without form. At that point I didn't even know what I was. I just was. I entered the light and looked behind what I would call a screen the size of a hole. I passed through the screen and I was aware again of this so called identity. I had been unconscious on the floor. It took me a while to recover. This was extreme nothingness to me, but I suppose one gets what one wishes for.

Alexys, expansion is growth. A shift of consciousness occurs within soul every instant. You move from a focus on what was to what is. Each being is constantly evolving and growing. As awareness catches up and aligns with what is, then experience rises to a whole new level.

Natural Moments, you never experience anything unrequested. Until your unconscious aligns with your conscious human mind, then alignment does not shift permanently. That is, you know lapses. You divert attention into fragments of the false-created self. Every moment, each being is in the process of radiacally transforming a sense of existence. The nature of your resignation and resistence determiens everythng you conscously allow. The truth is static and waiting for yor progressive revelations. You are here as part of that.
