The proof is in the pudding

You may hear the proof of the pudding is in the eating.  Yet, you only truly know the taste of anything as you put it on your own palatte.  Then, the body begins to recognize texture, sensations, and vibes on a deeper level. Each flavour is unique and bursting with a story.

In other words, to fully appreciate something, you have to experience it directly yourself.  You can assume you have the same taste preferences as someone else, but this is not the same as tickling your own tastebuds or savouring something again, as if for the first time.

Notice how opinions are created based on heresay.  Notice the actual reasons you agree or disagree with someone.  So long as ego drives you, it has something to prove, so you speak up. From the moment you experience peace and contentment, questions are answered as they arise.  Peace is felt by everyone in your presence.  There is no need to say anything.

On another level, to fully appreciate this moment, you are invited to stop comparing it with memories of other experiences.  You are invited to stop judging and assuming history has to repeat.  As every moment feels new and fresh, you are allowing life and energy to flow freely without doubt or fear.  This allows feelings of joy, peace and freedom to reveal themselves.  Paths you think you have trodden, places you think you have been, never feel the same again.

Reframe illness

If you ever feel under the weather, notice the words you use to describe your state and how experience unfolds to confirm them. Notice what messages the body is sending to you. How do you think and feel about this? This is an opportunity to see through misperceptions.

On the surface, you may feel overtired or over-extended. You may pinpoint restlessness, second guess some of your choices or brainstorm what is next. If you focus on imbalance, sadness, dissatisfaction or rejection, you invite more reasons to feel this way. Be aware of the world you create for yourself.  Only the body is sick. How you view the body and your state of mind changes everything.  Beyond this, what does not change may surprise you.

Watch what happens as you view it all as a teacher. Identify what are you really feeling uneasy or sick about. It's not what you think. Its not the nature of a job, condition, dead pet, or state of relationships that triggers the physical symptoms you notice.  Its not what seems to happen to you, but how you feel about it that affects your energy states.  Shift focus to isolate what you think you fear.  Now, step back to recognize why this fear is an illusion.  Peel away the layers.  Be more selective about your thoughts and the words you use.

Imagine how your life presents as as you recall all is well already.  Sense the joy of laughter and the impact of self-recognition. Healing is a state of mind. The state of being is perfect.

Its all pointing here

Imagine a life where you do not have to do anything about anything.  Imagine a  life where nothing is wrong, where every choice you make at a given moment is the right one.  Give up all your emotion and effort to get somewhere. Let go of restlessness.  It may seem too simple to be true. Recognize you are the seer and experiencer, the observer and participant in this life.

What if you do not have to do, be or become anything? From this moment, notice what the mind would have you believe.  Then step back and accept every view is a reflection of the timeless recognizing itself.  Reconnect with the dimensions and perspectives you temporarily cut off.

As the mind carries no intention, ambition or neediness, it is spontaneously one. It does not view itself as a separate part of anything.   Recognize the attitudes you hold toward 'the other.' All you think is a self-fulfilling projection.  As you drop the resistance and false ideas you adopt as a child, you slowly let go of all fixations and identities connected with the body.  What's left?

Be  true nature, the state of pure awareness.  See things with less distortion.  Allow peace to fill you. To see everything as equal is to love and appreciate yourself unconditionally.  When you are truly free, you expect nothing and simply flow freely with the stream of life. He who is truly rich wants nothing.  He who has desires is simply playing the role of creator for a while.

"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women are merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages." - William Shakespeare

Its all a sign

Sign of the moment.  Sign of the times.  Signs are everywhere.  Do you notice the signs?

As you open the senses, you grow aware that every roadsign, food name or label, license plate, book cover, billboard, bumpersticker, T-shirt, and cloud formation, is simply another sign to guide you in life.  If you keep running into certain people, or always feel good when engaged in some activity, this is more than sheer coincidence.  If snags keep arising in a business deal you are working to finalize, its a sign.  Pay attention to little events in life and the bigger picture.

I recall how the universe showed me I no longer needed to wear a wristwatch. On three separate occasions, its battery seemed to stop.  Each time I took it to the watchmaker to replace the battery, the watch started working again and I was told I did not need a new battery. Go figure!?

As I tapped into deeper awareness, I knew this was not really about the watch or battery. Rather, it was a message to stop allowing perceived time and rigid schedules to control me. As I gave up wearing a wristwatch, I almost magically detached from certain ways of living. This gesture reduced stress, allowed me to open my heart to greater spontaneity and a new leash on life.

As you reflect on signs in your life, what is the universe suggesting? As you recognize you are the universe, what are you inviting yourself to recognize? Trust the intuition.  It always knows.

Listen to yourself

Listen to yourself.  Notice if you self-criticize, argue or attempt to talk yourself out of things.  Notice how often you allow feelings of optimism to fill you and a sense of trust to be your guide.  In every moment of life, recognize that you have choices about how to think and feel.

Take the example of a decision you are in the process of making.  It can relate to anything. The mind draws from logic and reason to persuade you of one course of action.  The heart invites you to feel your way to the most suitable direction.  Every prospective decision is a pointer.

Notice that reaching for faith or praying for signs reveals you harbour doubt. It also reveals you forget about the power you access by taking responsibility. Know doubt and fear are illusion. They temporarily prevent you from being focused purely on the love that is your nature.

In essence, it is not the subject of a particular decision that matters so much as how you choose to feel about it, whatever the outcome. You can choose to see everything as an opportunity to trust, to feel peace and joy. You can view every result as a blessing that offers lessons and insight into the mind.  Every event is a reminder to love and accept yourself fully, come what may.  Be gentle and kind with yourself.  This is the path to self-acceptance.  Come full circle.
