Tap into dragon power

A woman bends to enter a jagged rocky archway into underground caverns. She wears a suit of armour, is short and shivers.  As she goes deeper, she grows in size and walks with straighter posture.  She enters a dingy and floats along an underground river. She sees her reflection in a waterfall and chooses to discard the armour. It is heavy and weighs her down until she lets it go. She jumps into wavy river, swims through the waterfall and discovers a hidden world of fire-breathing dragons. She fears the heat of the fire until she tames and befirends a dragon.

Heading underground suggests we harbour secrets, wish to hide away from the world or, perhaps fearlessly delve more deeply into what is bothering us beneath the surface. Ask what feels threatening and whether we recently escaped (or have memories of escaping) from a perilous situation.

Armour and dragons symbolize protection. If we fear connection, we may unconsciously create physical distance in relationships or, shut people out emotionally.  We may forget how to connect, shield our heart due to past hurt and distrust, or never have had role models for emotional connection.  We always have the choice to let go of what weighs us down and experience the natural flow of energy within and around us.

Waterways echo the state of our emotions. Choosing to navigate through changing life conditions builds resilience.  Emotions are our gauge for how well we are dealing with whatever arises. If we consciously regulate our breathing, as we do when we swim under and above water, we control how we respond to unforeseen events.  Deeper breathing allows us to respond calmly rather than feel stressed and shaken up.  How we breathe reflects our emotions and to what degree we allow them to control our body and mind.

Waterfalls invite us to purge thoughts and situations that no longer serve us. We are ready to let go on a whole new level. We may feel compelled to do a detox, to shift gears in areas of our life, focus of our energies and attention in new directions.  We are  drawn to what feels natural.

Fire can symbolize anger, hostility, or rage that is suppressed and in need of release. Only by befriending our shadow, do we make the unconscious conscious, and come to know balance. Those things we fear or make us feel uncomfortable about others are those things we have not yet accepted within ourselves . Fire also represents life energy, our source of power and inspiration, creativity and gifts. It is up to us to pay attention to what is brewing or erupting within us, and to recognize we have the choice how to harness and direct our energy.

Dragons are also magical creatures. Tapping into our dragon power is accepting the dragon within.  They represent innate abilities to transform how we perceive and experience what is happening in ourselves and the world.  We each feel the way into what it is to stand in our power, speak our truth, love all parts of ourselves and be our own best friend.

See through your questions

Pinpoint the questions that linger in your mind.  Focus on the body.  Allow yourself to experience the aliveness and energy flowing through.  The aliveness is held in the body form by consciousness.  The mind is what identifies the questions and seeks answers.  be aware how the mind operates.  It is always thinking because this is its nature. Who is aware of the body-mind? What makes you aware that you think? You really do not know. Let silence answer all questions.  As you explore what is real, you explore the feelings.  The mind cannot answer as it plays tricks.

5 Ways to know what feels right

Life presents many situations.  The choices about what to do may seem endless.  People around you offer unsollicited advice and opinions.  Explore in depth five ways to know what feels right;

1) Be aware of the body - everything you detect and do not notice about the body is communicating with you. Be bold, daring.  Ask body parts directly what they wish you to know.

2) Be aware of your thoughts- thought forms come and go.  Dwelling on any mental image gives it life. Read your emotions. What feels right requires no thought. It guides impulsiveness.

3) Be aware of the nature of your relationships -everyone you meet is a pointer to what the heart knows.  Each person is synchronicity taking form, guiding you to see the best choice.

4) Be aware of your chosen environment(s) - every environment emits energy that resonates with your energy or not.  Be aware of attraction or repulsion and underlying reasons.

5) Be aware of the difference between conditioned beliefs & intuition -you are taught what is good, right or best for you. These beliefs differ from unexplainable reasons why you act.

10 Ways to Love Yourself More

Every moment is worth appreciating.  Whether you are reaching for new kinds of balance, success or guidance for something else, know everything in life is speaking to you.  Loving yourself and the world more consciously involves raising awareness of how you think and feel now and how this is reflected in and by the external world.  Notice what you are overlooking.

Notice what you overlook.  Be empowered.  Reflect on ten ways you can love yourself more:

1) Nurture the Physical Body- notice what you feed your body and how you care for it.  Raise awareness of how ingestion, digestion and elimination are really going. Be aware this is a feedback system.  The state of the physical body is a pointer to the state of your energy body.

2) Strengthen the Energy Body- notice the essence of being is energy and energy surrounds the physical body.  Whole, natural, raw and organic foods are rich in electromagnetic energy. Exercise, deep breathing, Qigong, Tai Chi, gardening, walking barefoot on earth, being outside in the sun and fresh air and near vegetation, prayer and meditation all invigorate the energy body.

3) Read the Emotional Body- notice emotions are a gauge for how well you are listening to the heart. The more positive emotions you experience, the truer you are being to yourself.  The more negative emotions arising within you, the more you resist what the heart knows is right for you at this stage of life.   Emotions offer insight into your organs, systems and energy and how near or far you are to peace. The more you understand, identify and release emotions, the more you get messages your bodies are sending you and the more you show love to your true self.

4) Address Imbalances- notice loving yourself implies being interested in why you do the things you do, why you think and feel as you do.  make connections  Notice the power of awareness to help identify what ails you and different approaches you can take to alleviate the suffering.  Nobody knows you better than you can know yourself.  Acupuncture, homeopathy, flower essences, aromatherapy, deep muscle massage like Rolfing, Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, sound therapy, other forms of energy medicine, intuitive counselling, and meditation all help reveal and address imbalances or mis-alignments.

5) Do Yoga- notice yoga is a mind, body and spirit practice which stems from ancient India.  Its aim is to connect with the divine and raise awareness of the feeling state of permanent peace. Various styles of yoga combine physical poses, breathing and meditation techniques.  Classes exist for all levels from beginner to advanced. Do yoga to be aware of muscles and abilities you did not know you have.  Discover where you hold tension or blocks to balance and well-being.

6) Be aware of Etheric Bodies- notice "etheric" generally means not visible to the naked eye. Recognize you are like an iceberg with the physical, 'visible' part of you like the part of the iceberg that is above water and the larger part of you like the much bigger part of the iceberg hidden to the eye under water. Loving yourself fully implies being open to exploring those things about yourself do not see or understand with the familiar senses. That which you resist persists.

7) Appreciate Spontaneity- notice that impulsive, spontaneous behaviour enables you to take an invisible load off, de-stress and somehow breathe easier.  No need to explain it, simply attune to impulses and explore them.  The urge to drop what you are doing and be light-hearted has a place. Dance in the rain, blow bubbles, have a pillow fight or do what comes naturally.  This is orienting you to what the heart knows.  Love only knows love.  Relish the signs and signals.

8) Listen Differently- notice that true listening is not limited to the physical ears and related organs.  Listening deeply involves detecting feelings, intuition, exploring dreams, dream symbols or dream therapy, unexplainable reasons you are drawn to particular people, conditions or experiences. Listen without the ears.  See everything is communicating.  How accurately you listen to others,  reveals how well you are actually listening to yourself.

9) Expand your Horizons- notice excitement and energy you generate when you undertake something new.  Doing something new makes you feel more awake and alive. Its healthy and uplifting to challenge yourself when you feel inspired and joyful.  Never take sparks of curiosity or positive feelings for granted.  They direct you in ways that are true to the heart.

10) Enjoy Nature more- notice that being in nature is not about where you go, it is about being in the now moment and observing how nature does this. Surround yourself with the harmony of nature and see this as a mirror for what is going on inside yourself.  This has nothing to do with what you may have done in the past or could be in future.  See what nature does without thinking.  be like the water.  Go with the flow.  Be like a tree.  Bend in the wind.

Uncover Evolving Life Purpose: 12 questions

As you reach a life stage when you are ready to explore or shift life purpose, you are ready for new levels of reflection.  Sit down in a quiet place with some paper and a pen or a computer. Answer these questions.  Be honest.  You are doing this for yourself:

1) When someone asks you to describe yourself, which words do you use? Notice you form your identity with words. Notice how would you like to shift this self- view. Write some experiences you would like to explore; different passions and perspectives. Watch how your sense of purpose evolves though words you write and speak aloud.

2) What do you enjoy doing with with the physical body? Notice the nature of your body image and identity. Notice the common belief about life purpose is "I am (what I do with my body)". For example, you may say: I am a boxer and my life purpose is boxing or I am a drummer and my life purpose is drumming.  Be aware you are not limited to what you do with your body at any life stage. If you cease to use your body one way, this does not mean you no longer have a purpose. True purpose is independent of conditions. How you feel about yourself points to but does not identify life purpose. Notice body experiences catalyze desire for new ones. Be aware the body itself is simply an experience the wider you is choosing.   The body is not all you are and not who you will always be. Watch how your perception of your body and purpose are changing.

3) What do you enjoy that engages other aspects of self (mind, spirit & senses)? Notice how it feels to expand beyond a limited body identity. Ease into a wider level of perception. Notice something watches, engages and triggers the body and emotions. For instance, a sense of the dearly departed, insight into what your children or lovers are doing when they are out of sight, and knowing who is going to call before the phone rings, are signs of wider perception. Know you engage in wider frameworks of communication as a pivot point.  Life purpose evolves based on your awareness and vantage point. Recognize the position from which you are looking affects how you view yourself, your purpose and priorities.  Notice you are many things, not one thing.

4) What are your strengths actually telling you? Notice whether what you like to do is what you are told are your strengths. Notice whether you come to believe what you are told or listen to the heart and do what feels right regardless of what others say.

5) What brings you a sense of freedom? Notice what prompts you to focus on a particular mission or end result. Your beliefs. See through the light of understanding. There is actually nothing you are tied into, no karma. Nobody is making you do anything except you. All scripts are changable. Imagine how life feels with subtle shifts of practice and identity.  Notice your views on control. When ready, discover you physically translate as events what Spirit conceives as a feeling and energy patterns. The mind inteprets or translates symbols of freedom while the spirit embodies it.

6) Which experiences awaken and nurture your confidence? Notice fear is learned. Love and acceptance (confidence) are innate. Notice perceived challenges serve you, draw attention to who you are beyond fear. Notice what sorts of connections you are making with what you do, with what you have done and envision doing.

7) Imagine how you see the world as a person with limited physical senses. Notice which senses are magnified? missing? What compensates for the absence of others? Notice how feelings and what you have available to you is used to construct your reality. Notice how multiple perspectives are available to you. Notice how you are able to more consciously access these resources or what is required of you to do so.

8) If you could teach something to others, what would you teach? Jot down a message you would like to share with a group. Brainstorm how you would do this. Imagine what you are doing in five years and behave as if you already are.

9) What would you do if money was not an issue? Notice judgments about money that surface and how they reveal mental blocks of scarcity.  This can prevent you from doing what you love.

10) Write your own eulogy. How would you like to be remembered ?

11) Who do you truly want to be? Be aware of which aspect(s) of you enjoys life most and how you can you focus more attention and energy here.

12) Who inspires you? Notice the qualities of these inspirations awakening in you.  Notice you are integrating aspects of these lives into yourself. Notice the larger part of you is already conscious of experiencing these lives.  Notice the larger part of you is having experiences that the physical you is feeling. Be aware any life challenges you take on relate to evolving and transforming into who you want to become. The larger part of you knows everything is unfolding in complete harmony.
