Revelations worth attention

Any situation that feels like a problem isn't what you think it is.  Impossible situations only appear to be impossible.  Perceived obstacles only exist as long as you decide they will.  Since you can develop abilities to get out of any situation, you can realize self-defeating beliefs are illusions.  How are you denying yourself the ability to participate more fully in your own life? What would this mean anyway?

Some people think illusions are limited to tricks that a magician will perform for an audience.  Now, think about this for a minute.  When the magician seems to cut a woman in a box in half or, seems to pull a rabbit out of a black top hat on a table, part of you realizes this guy is pulling a fast one over you.  You may laugh, but sense the magician has guarded secrets.  You may wonder, what's the truth?  How does he do it?  Ask yourself why you decide knowing one way or the other matters.

In other areas of life, most people are fond of the truth.  If someone lies to you and you figure this out, it hurts you inside.  You don't like it.  So, why would you react differently to what you tell yourself? Is it a question of intentionally overlooking the real feelings underneath a reaction? You are totally responsible for your experience. 

Resisting anything you anticipate will be painful can feel more painful than the experience would be.   What is the pain about? Think action- reaction.  Nothing that you interpet on any level has anything to do with external reality.  Are you indulgent enough to let yourself feel?  Just because you feel genuinely doesn't mean it comes from the real you.  Your ego may project it.  What is your awarness level and where would you like it to be?

Self honesty is a difficult thing.

Things are difficult only if you condition yourself to think this way. Reflect on previous experiences. Whenever you have told yourself something would be hard, like a test in school, getting a particular job, winning a contest, or maybe climbing a rock face, you were reinforcing the idea of challenge in your mind. This tells the Universe to project you a related experience. You perceive what you choose. You attract and get what you ask for.

In a nutshell, life is full of learning curves. You doubt yourself only when you tell yourself you have reason to fear. What if you make it all up? Think how your dreams will change as you consciously realize that you conjure negative illusions...

I think of J.F. Kennedy's famous Moon Speech (1962):
"We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too."

Boy I'm going to have a good hard laugh if sometime in the future I realize that I've most certainly made my life much harder than it need be! :p Great quote.

Loved this post...speaks volumes of where i myself am at in this point in my life. Illusions...they really are simply that...projections of "what if". It took a long time for me to come to realize that any perceived problem was merely a stepping stone to a solution within my life. I think it comes from understanding what personal responsibility is about and that life is truly what you make it.

Its incredibly empowering to begin to recognize your perceived problems have already been solved. To discover you imagine your problems is to recognize how much control you really exert over your life. You don't need to know how the Universe will rearrange itself to make things happen. You simply need to be open to recognizing your feelings and realize you can decide to feel good about who you are.
