Let yourself go and see what happens

What if you decided that to live meant to change? Contrary to what you expect, everything will flow smoothly.  You will experience ordeals that change you more than any work experience or passing fancy.  You will learn more than you anticipate.  This is not about control, but about exploring freedom.  It is about confiding and being confided in.

Life teaches worlds exist outside ones you know and have known.  You discover them through your heart, by way of your tears, your anguish, hope and waiting.  All your feelings teach you. In curious ways, you are learning to live and learning to die.  Death can symbolize the end of one stage of your life and the beginning of another.

You are developing an appetite for what is offered to you.  You are discovering sources of new confidence in your corner of the world.  You are working through unexpected hardships. You are caring for people during their time of need.  You are evolving to listen to insticts and shwoing what works by example. Let yourself go and see what happens.

Jill Bolte Taylor & 5 tips to reframe your own reality

Jill Bolte Taylor used to label herself as a brain scientist.  An unexpected stroke when she was 37 led her to explore deep consciousness and rediscover insight to sustain inner peace. Within four hours, she could no longer walk, talk, read, write, could not recall any of her life or mentally-process information.  Then, over a period of eight years, she experienced a profound journey that resulted in a complete recovery. In her book, she shares 50 tips and things she feels were necessary (and not needed) to heal.

As it happens, her book, My Stroke of Insight, was a festive gift to me from an eighty-four year old friend who has lived his own small strokes.  He inspires me to encourage people to stop asking what may be wrong with them so they move beyond the education that keeps them thinking as they do.  Consider these 5 tips to reframe your own reality;

1) Welcome the opportunity to transcend your normal perceptions.  Illness often has one of two main effects on people--it causes them to focus on the ego mind of the left hemisphere, which continues to believe they are invincible and dramatic incapacity is irrelevant  or, the right hemisphere influences them to completely transform how they think and behave to nurture states of joy. You may experience one, both or neither.

2) Recognize your information processing system creates you external reality.  You choose to divide your moment-by-moment experience into past, present and future based on brain directives that may lie beyond your conscious scope. When you step outside the anticipated limits of time, or find yourself in a state where temporality is gone, then you begin to dissolve self-created boundaries.  How you frame our perception expands.  You redefine processing through more than visual, sensory and pattern association.

3)Realize you can move beyond analytical judgment.   When the left hemisphere is dominant, it distracts the mind from thoughts of peace, serenity, security, intuition and universal inter-connectedness linked to the right hemisphere.  Standard perception and behaviour result from constant exchanges between hemispheres.  People are generally right or left brain dominant. To achieve greater balance requires a decision to raise awareness and shift gears. To move beyond judgment is the path to enlightenment.

4) Consider illness could appear as a form of biological evolution.  In order to evolve into a more highly-oganized form, human genetic material takes advantage of opportunities to adapt and transform.  From a biological view, human beings are like a species-specific mutation of the earths genetic code.  We are related to everything and constantly evolving in ways we do not always anticipate, grasp or readily explain.

5) Consciously evoke your own waves of clarity. Regardless of your own mental or physical state, you can choose to view it as a blessing in disguise.  You can choose to ask questions like, "Who am I?" and What am I doing?"  You can take steps to reconnect with spiritual forces, to better understand your attachments to your body and life as you perceive it.  Choose to move beyond worry and live each moment the best you can.

Unusual is a state of mind

Analysis of the dream submitted by Anonymous

Dream-  I approached a payment window at an unusual post office. It reminded me of a bank because of the transparent, bullet-proof glass that separated me from the clerk.  I asked the price for 12 stamps and was told $89.50.  My own mental calculations told me it should be $8.95.  I felt the cleark was incorrect yet, the clerk assured me there was no error.  I opted to buy 2 stamps which came out to an equally inconsistent price.   The clerk appeared to me as the mad hatter from Alice in Wonderland. I took my stamps and rejoined my husband who had been waiting nearby.  He felt there was nothing usual.

Predominent Traits & Emotions- diligence, determination, patience, and thoroughness

Interpretation- Motivations urge you to act.  They take visible and invisible forms in dreams and in waking life.  Four levels of motivation include your drive, which cause you to visit certain types of places, your desires, which often reflect some unrealized ambition, your expectations or conditioned standards and ideas or goals, which are related to deliberate internal or external influence.

Something is owing or outstanding.  Part of you feels you owe your true self less attention while other parts of you believe your self-worth is suffering.  Remind yourself the amount of money you make does not define you.  You are more honest about your ideals during lucid dreams. That is, your expectations exert more prominent influence because behaviour is more often conditioned rather than conscious and deliberate.

Consider the order in which you do things in your dream as well as what is symbolized by your behaviour and the behaviour of others present.  Character traits deepen the insight you have into yourself.

5 Ways to examine your current level of awareness

People hear so much about awareness, they begin to ask how to clarify their own current level.  You may sense certain things and so readily forget others.  This may confuse you. You may ask how many levels of awareness there are and what you can do to identify where you stand.  Consider these 5 ways to explore teh nature and level of your awareness;

1) Disregard numbers.  This includes age, weight, height, psychological time and other numbers.  Physical measurements you imagine and impose.  They cloud pure awareness. Consciousness is beyond conditioning. Impatience is itself a pointer to what is here.

2) Focus on what you cherish.  Anything that strengthens your feelings of love or appreciation has a positive effect on opening to the awareness that is always present.   Express love at every opportunity. Listen to your heart. In essence, love expands awareness.

3) Rethink time and space.  Human beings are conditioned to fragment and limit their perception in an effort to pin things down.  Awareness is imperceptible in a traditional sense, yet you can evolve faculties to move beyond three-dimensional thinking.

4) Choose to be alive.  Consider what this means to you.  Decide to notice opportunities and find the courage to experience possibilities.  Permit tears to flow, and allow other feelings to unfold.  Decide you to consciously expand your points of reference. be open to discover what it feels like to know happiness, sadness and other emotions through the body.  Sense they are all interconnected and point to who you are.

5) Recognize perception is relative.  You will only ever grasp things you are prepared to sense and believe. Your level of self-doubt and negative energy determine what kind of reality you manifest and experience.  Work through scepticism, bitterness, and cynicism.

3 Tips to learn to self-control

Dreaming as you do, you move toward becoming more aware that you are dreaming as this is actually happening.  You may underestimate how this activity enables you to train your mind. No doubt you wonder what dream control exists and what kinds are desirable.

Consider you can evolve to regulate not only your response to dream content, but also the themes of your dreams.  People can learn to work through problems in dreams.  You may ask yourself what really is possible? Reflect on three tips to learn self-control;

1) Value your scary dreams.  As you learn to face the source of your fear in dreams, you gain a measure of self-control and confidence that carries over to how you function while awake.  You begin to realize you exert control over what you think and feel in life.

2) Recognize controlling others is not the answer.  Although you may employ magic in dreamworlds and even transform creatures with thoughts or spells, wishing for people to disappear in real life is not an effective solution.  Conjuring is not the way to solve your problems. Changing your attitude and perception of conditions is more useful.

3) Rethink your assumptions.  How you handle obstacles, conflicts and discomfort in waking life comes back to your assumptions about what is and is not possible.  Whether you choose to become a more experienced dreamer and what level of awareness you reach in waking life each influence what you are willing to create and tackle in dreams.
