The gift of who you are

The human part of you is always seeking, questioning and aspiring. It wants proof to believe in something. This body-mind is conditioned to compare, be logical and reach for understanding. It is never certain about anything. Yet, thinks it wants to own, possess and accumulate, always needs more.  It also reacts emotionally based on a sense of perceived events in limited space and time. Human function stems from fear.

Notice what happens as you track fear back to its source.  It loses power.  Notice what happens as you begin to recognize beliefs are only beliefs, and that anything only ever takes on the meaning and value you give it.  Suddenly, you are awakening in ways that tell you the external world no longer controls your attention. Notice every angry person you encounter is a priceless gift. Each one invites you to snap out of a trance.

As you begin to sense the awareness that is, the quality of existing shifts.  Time loses significance. Duality is irrelevant. Everyone and everything you see is a reflection of yourself inviting you to recognize the same message.  Listen closely to the heart.  It knows what exists right now in this moment.  The gift of who you are is self aware, self-recognizing.  Everything you are taught about your-Self falls away. Silence tells all.

"Love is, above all, the gift of oneself." -Jean Anouilh

Stop, and see what happens

Notice what happens as you stop doing, denying or asserting anything.   This means you cease agreeing and disagreeing, shift to the silent observer perspective.  Feel the state of receptivity, the awareness that knows you have never been what you appear or pretend to be.  Everything points toward something that is is listening attentively now.

Now, this kind of listening is not limited to sound.  It goes deeper, to detect energy of love and fear, to feel sensations of the unspeakable.  It recognizes everything is constantly communicating with and through you in its own language.  Attune to what the body is telling you through signals, to what the mind says through its ego personality.  Notice the power and intention in silence.  Read the sand, moon and stars.  Every aspect of nature is engaged in soulful dialogue. Are you aware?

"I guess I've spent my life listening to what wasn't being said." -Eli Khamarov

Feel the love that is

The more you let go, the more love actually reveals itself to and through everything.  It demands nothing, needs nothing and is, in essence, nothing you can pin down. It is like the gift of feeling peace and contentment or the presence of life itself.  Recognize the sun rises and sets the same way everywhere. The only difference is what you see.

Similarly, consider how you tell when night ends and morning begins. One perspective is light and darkness exist in the same moment.  The focus of your attention is based on what you are ready and willing to accept, that is love and accept the essence of being fully or remain shrouded in fear and doubt. You observe difference or sameness, focus on separation (and difference)or unity. From the moment you look into the eyes of another and see the reflection of God or spirit, then dawn breaks. Unconditional love arises and it has no opposite. It is what it is.  Silence takes over to play its own tune.

"Most humans, I've noticed, are trying to figure out what's wrong and then change it. The truth is, if we become comfortable with who we are rather than who we think we should be, then we will be less insecure."  -Daniel Gottlieb

Be with yourself

Ever get tired of words? Ever get tired of talking? Notice the mind tends to create stories and ideas about fear and other emotions. Sensations are like doorways that beckon you to walk through the drama into something else.  What happens as you realize form is the stepping stone, anchoring yourself deeper in dormant senses?

The body is a bridge to the meditation that unfolds as the state of being. Awareness is open to the natural flow of things. Feel what its like to be with yourself. This is not an invitation to think with ego mind what this means. Be aware of your own conditioning. Notice that awareness is connecting with what the heart is drawn to do every moment.  Allow everything to be as it is.  Discover within yourself what happens as you allow and accept everyone as he is. Love never argues for itself or rationalizes its presence.

Every moment, the one being that is speaks through what the ego mind perceives as separate self. You may feel you oscillate between clarity and confusion, acceptance and self-doubt. Being with yourself is not about escaping the problems or suffering. It is an experience beyond concepts. When the ego mind asks the question, the mind cannot come up with and trust the answer fully. Listen to the heart. The soul knows what feels right. You cannot know the best course at the level of mind.  Accept that.

"You're just left with yourself all the time, whatever you do anyway. You've got to get down to your own God in your own temple. It's all down to you, mate." - John Lennon

What do you truly want?

Notice how wants and desires arise from birth. A separate sense of self is born. This is not itself an issue. This is not meant to be a substitution for the divine being within. Notice whatever you give attention to grows. So, it is believing in separateness that gives rise to whatever you allow to hijack your focus.  All-the-while, the truth never moves.  Ask yourself what this moment feels like without all the wants and desires.

Step back from what gives life to your story, from what evokes emotions in your direct experience. Notice they grow stronger grounded in perceived time (past and future), a sense of suffering, loss or lack that seems to exist. What is the underlying message? What peers through? The only things that can change are mind and how it experiences. The perceiver of all is forever present. What is wanted beyond ego and desire?

Beyond that exists the imagined ideal, that which is intuited as perfect freedom. An image of unconditional love jumps into mind until it is known you are this.  Awareness does not exert effort to rid you of your thoughts. What you are does not believe in thought.  Notice how you speak of or view "you" and awareness or that which has no form. Are they not one? Look deeper. Notice what you really want and what you really are is always here. What direct experience is the living question you continue to seek?

"You are free to call forth any reality that you wish. What does God want? Nothing. Absolutely nothing." -Neale Donald Walsch
