Tap into the teacher within

Human beings are often socially- conditioned to seek outside themselves for answers. They request guidance from religious leaders, counsellors, therapists, New Age Seers and other perceived experts, for insight they choose not to find within.

Now, every person you meet is helpful to you based on your beliefs and what you hope to learn. Every connection has meaning and purpose.  When you choose to sense it, everyone and everything is a teacher who encourages you to draw the best out of yourself.  Regardless of who you consult and your apparent conditions, you have internal work to do for yourself.

Its a milestone to reach a point where you are willing to acknowledge fear or face reasons for discomfort of any kind.  Self-honesty and raising awareness do not come easily to everyone. Be gentle with the self.  Write yourself a letter. This need not intimidate you with the requirement of a journal, but you can choose to do that too.  Begin with these questions;

1) How do you describe happiness? Do you feel it now?

2) Which experiences enrich you, add meaning to your life?

3) What do you believe you deserve? How do you prevent it?

4) Why do you sense a crossroads? Which lessons beckon?

5) Which situation(s) are you ready to let go of forever?

6) How would the inner voice answer for your subconscious?

What to learn from an ancient medicine man?

In an era of increasing spiritual awareness, many human beings recognize they are on a quest for something they find  hard to describe.  They travel near and far yet, do not always know who to ask for guidance.  Is it touch and go for you?

As you temporarily forget the series of choices you make in everyday life is its own kind of pilgimage, you may seek new answers in a foreign land.  With some luck, planning or, divine intervention, you may encounter a medicine man.  What would you ask him if  he offered to advise you ?

More people than you may imagine are asking how to connect with higher forces, how to know God, Allah, Shiva, Vishnu, Zeus, the Creator, the Source, or some Higher Power assumed to have all the answers.  People seek quick fixes to problems. What would you expect the ancient wiseman to say?

1) Turn off the noise in the mind.

2) Reconnect with the heart.

3) Use love as your filter for everything.

4) Realize you have no reason to worry.

5) Explore aspects of self that hide from view.

6) Write a letter to God and read it back to yourself.

7) Stop dwelling on what you are not, and see all you are.

 8) Accept apparent cost of any journey is worth the sacrifice.

Welcome whomever comes

"Be grateful for whoever comes, because each guest has been sent as a guide from beyond" –Rumi

Khidr as the one who travels over land and sea, mountains and valleys searching and longing to meet the friends of God. Hakim at-Tirmidhi tells about Khidr a remarkable tale. Khidr knew from the beginning of time what would happen to these friends of God. He wished to see in his own life what would become of their works. Khidr received such a long life that he experienced all of it up to the Day of Resurrection.

Rumi has told the following tale: A certain shahna (a chief of police) was active as such in the days of Harun ar-Rashid. Khidr visited him every day. This shahna suddenly retired from his job. Khidr then stopped visiting him. The poor shahna started to worry as Khidr seemed to ignore him.

One night it was made clear to him his value was connected to his being active in his work. The next morning he went to the caliph and asked for his job back. Harun ar-Rashid asked him what had taken place and he explained it all. Khidr immediately thereafter again started to visit the reinstated shahna. People forget a person's 'presence' is not always visible.

The shahna then wanted to know of Khidr why he had stopped visiting him. Khidr then said: "The value of your position is that you sit in the Diwaan and protect the poor and the needy and free them from the claws of their oppressors. You should know that this is better than thousand Sufi retreats!"

Awaken from the dream of unreality

Regardless of your vantage point right now, certain aspects of your perspective are obscured. Human beings explore astral realms more consciously as they grow ready to realize everything is transparent. Spirit observes all. You recognize this as you are ready tobe accountable for your choices. How does one awaken more fully from the dream of unreality?

1) Revisit self-observation. Some people assume they already know the answers to all their personal issues. As you admit you do not consciously know all the answers, you can humbly surrender mind control. Recognize shifting and transforming consciousness relate to the nature of truth you can handle at this moment. You never experience anything you are not mindfully-prepared to accept.

2) Sense intentional co-creation. Every person is energy. Individual thoughts and feelings vibrate. Love creates good feelings. They resonate high frequency. Negative feelings resonate low frequency. Collective vibrations contribute to perceived states of Earth. To be conscious of your impact is to make choices that restore harmony and balance in everything.

3)See fear for what it is. Human beings fear idleness. They fear not doing. They are conditioned to do. They forget how to be. One is never certain of the nature of what is accomplished. Part of you still fears it is not what is expected, deserved or assumed. Serenity is rediscovered as you feel unafraid of where you are. Fear dissolves and you are present. Remind the self anything you struggle too much for makes it harder to detach from illusion. Fear not losing what does not exist.

4) Grasp disappointment helps you. To feel disheartened is impetus for change. The more discomfort you feel about your current mindset and conditions, the more energy you direct into appropriate tranformation. Waking up to your true self requires you abandon misunderstandings.

5) Do not permit secret joy in negativity. You encounter people who are impatient to share all their reasons for depression, anger and negative vibrations. Emotions such as jealousy and frustration generate energy that can be channelled in more constructive directions. If these emotions emerge in you, recognize you need not perpetuate them. Choose to reclaim your power. Shift focus to love.

10 things to be more conscious

Regardless of where you are, you have the capacity to raise consciousness to new heights. Consider these questions. Allow them to set the stage for your gradual evolution:

1) What is a meaningful thing you could achieve today?

2) How must you think to make this happen or manifest?

3) Which emotions are you permitting to control you?

4) What thoughts and feelings would be helpful to release?

5) Why is stepping outside your comfort zone helpful?

6) How are your night dreams conveying useful messages?

7) Who are accessible teachers that you attract right now?

8) How are they empowering you to answer inner queries?

9) Which steps are you taking to raise new levels of awareness?

10) How are you choosing to love yourself and serve others?
