Why do you resist yourself?

Many people are unaware they resist who they really are.  This could be a key reason for your own percieved discomfort right now.  Why would you try to get away from yourself?  What would you say if you hold the power to change how you think and feel now?

Your feelings are a useful point of reference.  Be very honest.  If you do not feel perfectly aligned and in peace and harmony, then you are likely resisting something. Rest assured, you are equipped to figure this out.  You are also empowered to Transform Your Life.

Liara,
Because when you aren't willing to do the work, you resist.
It's pretty simple.
It takes a LOT of discipline, focus and committment to stay on track.
Most people are unsconscious.
Even I am at times, and then I must keep my eyes open - even when wide awake - and SEE what I am doing and choosing.

Many of us resist with beliefs. Many hide behind spirituality. The clarity of Awareness is right here and right now when we can uncling from cherished methodologies.
For me, the difficulty is that this resistance is sub-conscious. Even some are actually imprints from past-lives.

I do meditations for release... any other solution from you, maybe? Will be much appreciated :D

Hi Liara,

I must say that I have never resisted myself. I am always available for me. I wouldn't have it any other way. The road to God is through the eyes of soul. Soul leads the way. :D

Aurora, to notice unconsciousness around you is to begin to realize stages of your own awakening. You are growing into more of an observer, not only of your surroundings but also of what you have been conditioned to believe if you. As you step back, you begin to realize what you assume is you is not the truth. You peel back the layers of illusion to rediscover what you always know.

Kaushik, as you highlight, any attachment is actually a self-created limitation that prvents you from feeling who you are. Each revelation is a wake-up call to stretch your perception and choose to see beyond what you have been taught.

Rizal, humans begin meditation for different reasons that often seem to come from the mind. Some people sense they "should do it," they "hear it could help them," yet less often, realize the impetus comes from another part of them, the soul. The benefit are endless, but only parts of you realize this. As you begin to remember the immeasurable, everything makes sense beyond the rationalisation of the mind. You have nothing to question, explain or prove. As you do what feels right, you already know.

It is amazing how much power we do have in this life. We can get out of twisted situations. We are not trapped. We have lots of options. I posted today about women who stay in unhealthy relationships. I hope they read my post and this one here and get inspired to change and be true to themselves.

Thanks!

Alexys, to move beyond resistance is to begin exploring the infinite depths of surrender. One journey is part of another. They all merge together in something timeless you discern with expanding compassion. To radiate love reveals unwaverng truth.

I'm sure I'm empowered, but I tend not to be very patient. I must learn to to let go - to go with my flow.

Blessings, as always, Liara

I am resisting my fish tank. And have been for a couple weeks.
How much lighter I would feel to surrender to it. I still resist.

Hi Liara .. I feel I’ve moved on and learnt so much in the past year or so .. but I become who I was when reacting to others .. especially when I’m dealing with my mother’s life up at the Nursing Centre, when (to me) things appear, over a recent move we had to make due to CDifficile, so piecemeal, no organisation or planning, so things become a muddle, no supervisory overview of the move from one room to another – which we’ve had to do.

I go back into my measly mouthed old bag state! Just because .. it’s such a shambles and definitely should not be; it’s not my responsibility to make sure everything (within reason) is sorted with the move .. but I’m still chasing 4 days later. I get so frustrated .. and of course as you say it distracts from everything else. I’m fine with my own life, but the negativity pours in here .. My own empowerment seems to evaporate under the lack of efficiency or lack of management .. and until my mother is settled, and I’ve cleared the old room – I’m stuck in the unhappy middle .. knowing others should be dealing with these things.

Obviously in a week or so .. it’ll all be behind us – but for now --- enough said .. ?! And I can't answer your question .. but I would love to and feel personally I can .. but not with my Mum and this situation ..

Cordieb, to grow into the watcher is to notice the inner light that shines within you. This is the energy of true self that guides you to where the real you exists, beyond impatience and other illusions created by the mind. You ultimately guide self through all you truly desire to experience and share what you learn with your fellow beings. Connect with what enables you to feel truly alive.

Jannie, your inner self guides you back to who you truly are, beyond resistance, to surrender and acceptance. You can choose to be conscious of what matters and to disregard everything else. How you feel deep inside enables you to feel fulfillment in life each and every moment. This wholeness is not something to work toward, not part of a list of unfinished tasks, but exists to experience now. You are ready to awaken to where youa lready are, to what is truly important. Life is all around you and all there is.

Hilary, every moment, you are the catalyst for all of your experience. It is said that everything we perceive is a mirror of some aspect of our inner self. As we learn to recognize the self, sometimes negative feelings surface about what seem to be external situations. Every feeling you generate is a blessing or it offers insight into your true self. You are finding life is more than you ever thought possible. To allow yourself to feel goes beyond words and concepts. It helps you filter through it, gather a deeper understanding of why you feel as you do, realize you can release feelings you outgrow and know all is always well. Everything you want is already within you. People are conditioned to seek solutions outside. Turn inward and remember all you are.
