5 Tips to take things in stride

Life is full of surprises.  We may tell ourselves that we assume we always know our destination and are familliar with the route of travel.  Yet, in many cases, our journey turns out to be more of a winding path with frequent stops or detours in unexpected places.  It can sometimes feel very confusing, even trigger emotional roller coasters.  Our personal and professional relationships may also be challenged. Here are ten tips to take things in stride;

1. Listen to the breath

2. Tune into body sensations

3. Grow aware of thoughts and beliefs and core values

4. Ask for advice or guidance from someone you trust

5.  Grow aware of to whom and why we give our power away

Why seek inspiration?

Notice how many people regularly seek Inspiration in their lives. Some people are teeming with endless inspiration that flows freely through their entire being while others struggle to find sources of inspiring thoughts, ideas, endeavours. What are your sources of inspiration? Do you look outside yourself or do you turn inward and listen heart and soul? When does inspiration come to you? Does any environment help?

What matters to you speaks to you and through you in different ways.  Much depends on how you listen and on what you choose to hear. Inspiration does not necessarily require words to convey its message.  Notice the wind and weather, sound vibration, colour, texture and other sensations are other languages that share what they have to say.  Notice endless sources of inspiration connect with who you are. What do you sense and feel? Every moment is full of opportunities to allow what matters to get its message across.  Stillness speaks.  Notice what stands out to inspire you now.

The message of wisdom

Wisdom cannot be repeated or learned through a teacher. Wisdom speaks directly through what you experience, through sensations. It is something you feel, not something you think or work out logically.  The unspeakable is forever within.  Seeing through the lens of wisdom is to see and appreciate things as they actually are.

Most often, you see things as you are, that is, you are conditioned to see only what the mind filters and wants you to see.  This is about how you perceive and relate to life.  Wisdom exists in the space between books you read and relationships you have. 

You may ask, "when is the best time to get wise?, who is the most important person?, and what is the key thing to do? Everything is now. Whomever you are with at a given moment invites you to show love and appreciation. If you are alone, this means you.  If you are with others, care.  Timeless wisdom is any pointer that evokes peace of mind, unconditional love and acceptance.  Say what you mean and mean what you say.

Reconnect with your core frequency

A new wave of energy triggers upheavals for humanity. You have the choice to believe that completely unpredicatable phenomena will continue to enrich this physical world. You also have the choice to permit fear to shape mental visions and ideas.  What kinds of scenarios seem increasingly present for you? What do shifting moods indicate inside? What if all this is a strategy to reconnect with core frequency?

1) You sense what is happening now.  To be more aware of your creative power, you are learning to discern high and low vibration energy. Its helpful to acknowlege heavier states of being.  You are integrating intuitive and rational sides of the self. To move to sense completeness, you gain insight into the feeling of energy contracting and expanding within. 

2) Imagine the catapult effect.  Energy can be harnessed and released.  Think of a projectile or the action of an underlying catapult.  You decide how deeply you will mentally explore negative energy and vibrations. To grow to discern related sensations offers insight into stress and perspectives that hold you back.  This insight propels you to move to lighter states of being.

3) Rediscover what 'fully awake' means.  You are gradually learning what motivates you to leave a psychological comfort zone and what compels you to return to a sense of baseline frequency.  You create the conditions that inspire and encourage or contract your energy and create unstable energy.

  • Be aware of the effect on your energy when you are altrusitic, self-sacrificing and over-zealous. How would you describe the overall effect on your thoughts, physiology and perception?
  • Imagine shifting between positive and negative views of your current conditions. What wisdom dos this offer in terms of your feelings? That is, what serves you or not?
  • Consider the impact on vibration when you ponder negative scenarios. How does your energy level change? What effect does this have on your core frequency of peace, acceptance and joy?
