Edgar Cayce & 5 questions to raise your awareness

During over 40 years, Edgar Cayce conducted work that has been described as "giving readings." A reading was a discourse given by Cayce while he was lying down, his eyes closed, in an altered state of consciousness.  Almost always delivered in his normal voice, all readings were recorded by a stenographer. More than 14,000 of them are preserved and available for study under over 10,000 subject headings. Some readings were given to individuals and others were complete discourses on topics such as meditation, Bible interpretation and prophecies about world affairs.

You may be skeptical about the gifts and work of a man known as "The Sleeping Prophet" or, question how it could relate to you and your own life. The incredible accuracy of Edgar Cayce's readings is substantial reason to reflect on the value of his influence as an prospective mentor. Why not change your expectations? Would it not be to your benefit to open up to possibilities and raise your awareness to new levels?

1) How does 'psychic' ability relate to me? The term implies more than apparent sensitivity to non-physical forces.  Psychic data stems from the soul.  Since we're all souls, we all have the capacity for psychic awareness that goes beyond perception (or illusion) of time and space.  You may ask yourself what influences hold you back?

2) How can I know if my predictions are true? This gets down to fundamental questions of faith in yourself, in beliefs about things beyond your ego, and also in self-acceptance. If you're the sort of person who accepts events or results blindly without thinking, then you may choose not to believe in associations or that you exert influence and control.  Edgar Cayce offers evidence to help you realize you predict everything, from sensations to life energy changes. You just may not listen.

3) What are the hazards of exploring within? Edgar Cayce may have demonstrated profound abilities to access universal knowledge, yet, you may assume its scary or perilous to pursue a similar path. As you close your eyes, you may be bombarded by voices, feelings, impulses, dreams or visions and experiences. Discerning less worthy sides of yourself, such as envy, greed, possessiveness, vengence, echo your lower-self. This may cloud judgment until you grasp and rise above them. Its part of your process of self-discovery. Be a seeker. Avoid simplistic assumptions.

4) What is the source of data offered by Edgar Cayce? This man's readings offer insight into your inner life and basic states of awareness. His experience sheds light on links among the conscious, subconscious and Divine superconscious mind.  We all sense the certain finite limitations of waking consciousness yet, underestimate infinite potential of learning to connect and channel the Divine. Cayce teaches us reading the subconscious can enhance or distort our access to the Divine inside us. How we filter patterns and thought forms shape our intentions and motivation.

5) Why is it important to have an ideal? Concepts and options are constantly presented to us from inside and external sources. They appear as people, events, visions, feelings and emotions. We're compelled to make choices and they, in turn, shape directions of our lives. Edgar Cayce encouraged people to establish a spiritual ideal within, a centre of stability from which values can emerge and help us to sift through everything else. This differs from religion, which often interprets spirit based on fragmented principles and evolves as an external influence. A spiritual ideal may be associated with a guru or prophet, an appealing quality or moving vision. Whatever the reference, it awakens a higher purpose or oneness.

Align at soul level with your higher power

The more you tune into your soul-level plane, the more you will attract what you wish to attract. When you don't feel right, something deep inside you is off balance. Yet, you may not be attuned enough to yourself to recognize what causes imbalance or how to fix it. This isn't a question of figuring out the right pills to dull the pain or to ignore underlying issues. Its never too late for a new course of self-discovery.

To align at soul level with your Higher self enables you to learn to access your Akashic records. This is like an energy library available to all of us. Every thought and behavior we have ever had emitted an energy frequency that was stored in these sacred archives. They exist at levels more easily detectible by heightened sensitivities. Yet, no matter who you are, you can learn to access this information about your past lives, past experiences in this life, the present, and even your potential future. It all helps to explain your current health and well-being. You might ask how to tap into it for answers to raise your vibration.

Though learning deep meditation and the help of guides, you can learn to access Akashic records and figure out why you are who you are, why you have the habits you have, and what cleansing and changes will be necessary for you to realize a more fulfilling life. Akashic is your soul's ‘book of knowledge,’ a database of details that contains vital facts about your soul's mission, purpose and journey in this lifetime. Becoming preoccupied with the physical world may have led you to forget the gist.

Our past enables each of us to better grasp the life path we're on right now. Without the past, we would have no sense of who we are now. You may need a crash course on the "why." Since emotion can cloud your views and judgment, you may need external assistance to understand your health and how it aligns with your choices.

The direction you are heading toward in future will become clearer the moment you realize who you were. This will empower you to adjust and refocus. Remind yourself no future is set in stone. No state of health is unchangeable. You simply need to discern who you once were. This will make it easier to re-create your true self now.

Each human is vital force energy. We incarnate on Earth for a reason. We exert power to create change. We were born to act as creators. Life here in the physical world can be very challenging. We make things happen by using intentions, focusing our vital force energy and passing our requests to the spiritual plane by choice.

We all have predispositions. What does it feel like to be you? How does health feel to you? Which senses are magnified? Each of us is different. We can choose to work with light to develop and heal. Some people choose to create negativity, echo it and use this illusion as a source of energy. You choose to work with light or dark energy. You make unconscious choices at the soul level. Each choice we make has different consequences for health and wellness. Its up to you to decide what comes next.

Review key relationships & discern your ESP

As you reflect on relationships that mean a lot to you and even some from your past, you may be surprised at the vibes and energies you read about people from very early on.  What if you have reason to have more faith in your own ESP?

Consider how you met people. Were you in a place that made you feel good? What was your mindset before encountering them?  Did you follow a gut feeling which led to the conditions where you initially met?  Ask yourself if you were drawn to a certain place at a certain time.  And, if you hadn't gone, would you have even met?

You will instinctively sense what drives another person even before spending much time with them.  You perceive habits, behaviors, gestures and facial expressions without really thinking about it.  You read into invisible levels of compatibility or incompatibility based on what people say or don't say throughout relationships.

Now, you begin to gain new insight into deja-vu. You develop relationships with some people where you sense what they will say even before they utter a word.  These situations may seem uncanny or coincidental.  Yet, there is far more to it than personality.   You're also more aware of this than you may consciously realize.

Ask yourself about occasions where you have been separated from people by distance, but you still sense what's on their mind or, you feel you can guess what they're doing.  You may even grow to sense where people are even when they don't tell you. Is that intuition? Adults use this with their kids or partners. Emotional charges tell us more than we initially think about dream relationships and where we are now.  Your beliefs create your relationships.  Let self-confidence be your guide.

Homeless inspirations tip the scale

As you look around for role models and people who inspire you, its likely you make choices based on some personal vision for your own success.  Its remarkable how a number of people perceived as successful in their own right have also had personal experience with homelessness.  What did poverty and material lack teach them? It enabled them to build inner strength, self-reliance and faith to build opportunities.

Now, this doesn't necessarily mean that to be successful like these people and realize your dreams, you must become homeless, or drop out of school.  Yet, it can be beneficial to force yourself outside your comfort zone. Step back from complacency wherever you are.  Reflect on what really matters so you can channel energies more productively in ways that fulfill you.  Learning how to step away from outside influences and sources of conditioning will enable you to think differently.

Examples of people who experienced homelessness:

Neale Donald Walsch- spiritual author (including; Conversations with God series)

John Paul DeJoria - Co-Founder & CEO of John Paul Mitchell Systems

Chris Gardener (see film: Pursuit of Happiness)- Stock Broker & Entrepreneur

Mother Teresa- Catholic Saint

Joe Vitale -teacher in Ronda Byrne's popular book, The Secret

Prove your vibes

Have you ever been asked to prove your love or feelings on the spot? Your heart (instincts) can be a more dependable guide for feelings and dreams than your head. People ask if developing intuition is the best use of your potential, or if its possible to prove validity your vibes before you act. What about faith and confidence?

Psychic development doesn't slow your spiritual progress, but can further your goals as you help others. Trusting your vibes is like a springboard that brings you closer to your soul. To learn to listen and really hear your inner voice, you may need to retrain your mind. The creative process is instinctive and flows best without conditioning.

The Siberian chemist Mendeleef dreamed of the periodic table of elements, then recalled and transcribed it while awake. This document is now used routinely by Scientists and school pupils. Paul McCartney claims he initially dreamed the music for his most performed song, Yesterday.  That song echoes through generations.

Edgar Cayce's astral and other dreams led him to write about the Bible as a symbolic account of the fall and restoration of the human soul to its divine origins. During several journeys in to spirit realms, Cayce discovered Genesis is the symbolic testimony of humanity's fall from heaven and paradise lost. His dreams also led him to claim The Book of Revelation represents humanity's restoration to heaven and paradise found. Interacting with spirit raised his awareness of his sense of purpose.

If you choose to believe that we are each separated from each other by our own illusion of consciousness, then you also come to believe many layers of frequencies and vibrations exist to separate what we see and don't see. Dream states bring us into contact with beings and ideas we don't sense or comprehend in other states.

As you accept your mind is a form of energy that influences vibrations, and what you choose to see, it becomes possible to understand higher spheres as a continuation rather than an alternative form of existence to your current physical state. Etheric energy contains all the multi-sensual planes. You can learn to tap into and experience them. You see what you train yourself to see. What you sense and discover in one state is stored in the mind and can be accessed by you at other times, but only when you're ready.
