Ross Bishop's Journey to Enlightenment

Ross Bishop has published a new book with Blue Lotus.  It's called Journey to Enlightenment.  This work encourages readers to discover that raising their awareness about what matters is within anyone's grasp.  He reminds us this personal process isn't meant to be scary or difficult.  Are you ready to move forward?

If you're familiar with themes explored in Eckart Tolle's book, The Power of Now or, ideas discussed in Esther & Jerry Hick's book, Ask and It is Given, then Ross Bishop's book will likely interest you.  He takes a unique approach to consciousness and what he thinks is required for each of us to wake up and remember what we've always known.  Its like a gentle reminder or tap on the shoulder to awaken your senses.

What makes this book unique is how readers are guided along an ancient shamanic journey.  This mysterious, yet familiar point of view enables you to become more accepting of what you are and more selectively forgetful about what you're not.  Isn't it time you reveiwed certain aspects of your life and welcomed in the Light?

If you're drawn to learn more about the power of gratitude, the process where you conditioned yourself to adopt limiting beliefs, then perhaps its time to open your mind this perspective. Expanding on what you think you know is the whole point.

3 Tips to approach the next stage

If you're building a business, or even thinking about it, then its useful to realize such a creative endeavour will be part of your own growth process. That is to say, no matter which goals are set or milestones reached, the business will offer frequent new challenges. As you embark on the next stage of your business strategy, or seek new business investments, its meaningful to remind yourself of a few things:

1) Everyone you meet has lessons to teach you. Maybe you're looking for business partners, distributors or staff. Even if all you know so far are incompatible personalities or undesirable business practices, its all good. You see, you also discover what you truly want and need through encountering what you don't. Choose to see the glass is at least half full rather than half empty. Learning lessons is key.

2) Stability begins as a state of mind. Some people think that constant influx of money or profit is the key to stability. Not so. In business, the most predictable thing is impermanence.  How you react to what happens around you matters. You create your stability through making informed choices. Adapt to markets. Evolve to respond better to service clients. Develop diplomacy and practices which appeal.

3) Consider each step as a "test bed." Whatever your track record, you can always look forward and decide to retain valuable lessons. The last investment may not have had the highest return, but you can visualize how the next one will be better. The last business associate you had may not have been the most conscientious or dependable, but your insight means your next choice will be stellar. The last product you turned out may have had some flaws, but you can apply what you learned to make the new release take the market by storm. View this stage with confidence.

Rethink your assumptions

You invite each person into your life for different reasons. Part of your job is to figure out less obvious reasons.  When things aren't going the way you assume they should at work or in romance, its tempting to assume people influencing your mood shouldn't be in your life.  But wait! Think again. What could you be missing?

1) Reflect on why that certain someone annoys you.  This may be a person who has a crush on you or who follows you around having chosen you as office mentor.  It could also be for other reasons. Admit the real reason you're annoyed. Its not likely the person at all.  It could be what he/she represents or reminds you about. Whenever your attention is drawn to something, this is a good thing. Figure it out.

2) Rethink that romantic scenario that didn't work out.  Part of you may resist because you believe this would be a waste of time.  Yet, when a romance doesn't pan out, its because deep down, you didn't believe this person was right for you.  Being moody, indecisive, feeling weird or sensing things are going nowhere is all good.  Things have indeed gone as you hoped inside. What did you learn about you?

3) Review the true sources of your frustration.  Okay.  You may not be on the most preferred list of specialists in your field.  You may not be the first person asked out on friday night or have the most friends. Yet, if you're frustrated about your relationships, the best place to look for answers is inside. Are you compatible with your choices? Do you love and accept yourself? Would you prefer other company? Only you can choose to change your environments or entourage.

Set your mood to set the stage for success

Your mood tells you a lot about the kinds of of subjects activated in your mind.  What you think about is what you will experience. You set your mood and this sets the stage for events you invite and expect. Whatever your perceived reality, or sense of success right now, your mood can be consistently changed, if you choose.

You may not realize you don't deliberately offer thought, but gravitate to think about whatever happens around you. When did you last review your mood or "emotional point of reference" for success? Its in your interest to examine any emotions that prevent or hold you back from realizing dreams. Consider these five questions:

1) What might trigger insecurity? If you had an experience where you lost a deal or someone you loved, it may have escalated to where you now expect negative or undesirable outcomes. You may always worry when someone you cherish travels, imagining you will lose another person or something else you value. Reflect back and work through reasons for such feelings. What would it require to feel secure?

2) What might trigger emotional vulnerability? If you've ever had relationships where you were 'let down,' exploited, betrayed or, attracted unreliable people, then your abilities to trust and delegate may have been affected. Why might you see yourself as a victim? As you seek greater success in your relationships, its advisable to begin with a review of self-acceptance, self-image and self-worth. If you're unhappy, how can you expect other people to feel happy or complete with you?

3) What might trigger health fears? If you generate fear regarding any aspect of your health, then you stifle health and healing. Did anyone you know experience major pain and suffering? Do you assume certain family ailments are hereditary? Do you anticipate dying young because your relatives did? How else would you explain your fear-producing reactions? If you desire health and well-being, you need to uncover why you don't think you deserve it. Reality begins and ends with you.

4) Why might you feel powerless?  You need to understand that you control what you observe, what you envision, and how you feel. Its important to resist blaming and scapegoating. Channeling energy in such directions simply deprives energy from the direction you really want. If you only respond to what you observe, then you have not yet learned that success comes from separating yourself from external events.

5) What might explain your low expectations? Are you brainwashed? Have you ever been warned you'll have trouble with your kids? that your partner will leave? that you'll never make enough money to pay bills? that you'll never change? that you aren't smart enough to learn new skills? that your physical body is worn out or will never heal? that you shouldn't expect to do better than anyone you know? Unhappy people project low vibrational energy. You can transcend it. Simply decide not to listen.

Saved from drowning

Analysis of the week on dream submitted by Anonymous of Melbourne, Australia.

Dream: I saw clones of a woman wearing clothing from different periods in history.  Each one stood separately around a lake. I strained to see them clearly.  My focus was drawn to a woman in the water who was drowning. Suddenly, transparent spirits appeared near mermaids. They raised the woman to the calm surface of water and prevented her from drowning. She didn't initially see them and tried again. They saved her. She surfaced with bluer eyes than before. She exited the water herself.

Predominant Emotions: Overwhelmed, reluctant, fear, hope, increasing clarity.

Interpretation: You acknowledge different perspectives exist to a situation and may attempt to be in many geographic or emotional places at once. Water is like a mirror that reflects your true emotions. Feeling overwhelmed or over-zealous are not your only choices. You have the power to save yourself from any additional stife. To realize spiritual support systems can be like life preservers means you are aware of ways to revitalize yourself.  You also realize that you're never truly alone.  Perhaps you would benefit from being more open and expressive about certain feelings?

Clones as dream symbols invite you to reflect on feelings about external domination or sources of control. Clothing reflects how you are perceived and how you also perceive yourself. You may feel "outdated" or even, "before your time." Its useful to take note of your vibes about clothing. Were they positive or negative? Did you feel confined or awkward? At ease and accepting? Each is a sign that invites you to deal with an issue. This dream also echos possible past lives and belief in reincarnation. Regression may reveal more. You recognize strong connections to events past and may find it challenging to sever ties. Take time to explore nagging guilt or grudges.

Mermaids that surface represent why you have been mysterious or secretive. Eyes draw attention to what and how you choose to observe. Notice what sorts of thoughts are "surfacing." Your unconscious may be telling you to look deeper inside yourself to find the answers that will enable you to put things "into a better light."
