Laugh at yourself

Notice the nature of conflict that arises within about your ideas and perceptions. Where does this opposition come from? What is the fear you feel really telling you? Notice the humour in realizing you disagree with yourself.  Emotions convey an inner dialogue.

You think you know what life and fulfillment are, and then you change your mind. You want something, yet then you realize this thing does not embody the love, happiness or solution you are after. You think you are dissatisfied about where you are and yet, upon reflection, you are really not. What happens as it grows apparent the ego mind fears getting, having and being all that it tells you to pursue? Why take life so seriously? Notice what occurs as you shift focus, take everything lightly.  Blessings smile back.

One great practice is to bless or offer love to anything that comes to mind. If a thought occurs, say I love you to the thought, knowing that the message is accepted without strings being pulled, and that it can go back to source. Whenever heaviness is felt, Love it and acknowledge it with a blessing. At first you may be saying I love you all day long. But with practice, the mind then becomes cleaned and white washed with Love.

We can all become priests and priestesses bringing love and thanks and appreciation into the world. At first, none of these thoughts or feelings may appear funny, but as the mind clears and the heart opens more and more, then one has fun blessing that which comes to mind and our attention. One can not even assume that the thoughts, or the feelings, are even coming from our own general physical experiences. We are connected to everything around us. If someone thinks of us, we may be connecting then with certain feelings that are coming our way. They then can be blessed.

With time, some of the thoughts that may arise may come out of left field and will be extremely amusing. Just smile and send the energy back home by accepting the party at hand.

Hi Liara .. certainly burdens are lifted and life becomes lighter and thus looking at life in the present is easier ... I am definitely more relaxed and thus life flows more easily. All will be well as I go forward.

Things are put into perspective .. when we can send a song to an 11 year old lad who's having bad chemo .. and along with many others bring a lot of love and happy tears into his life .. He lost his mother in the last year or two .. as well -

Others suffer much worse, but someone within our own environment can always highlight the ease of our predicaments .. laughing is so important - laughing with others and at ourselves ...

Thanks and hope you're having a great weekend .. cheers Hilary

Bern, so many people unconsciously say "I love you" to a bruised elbow that this part of the human anatomy is more commonly known as "the funny bone."

Hilary, laughter arises out of perceived tragedy to remind us how it feels to experience an incredible lightness of being. Chemo patients remind us other people pay good money to have hairdressers shave their heads, to have tattooists mark up their skin, and to spas for full-day body treatments. Dis-ease not only triggers revelations, but also has distinct and noteworthy advantages.

Great information. I got lucky and found your site from a random Google search. Fortunately for me, this topic just happens to be something that I've been trying to find more info on for research purpose. Keep us the great and thanks a lot.
