Notice the power of words

Notice  the nature of signs and bumper stickers you pass by while driving.  What do these messages and your feelings about them tell you about the state of your mind and life right now?  How often do you encounter signs that highlight 'delays,' roads 'under construction' and other kinds of temporary obstructions in your path? How do you interpret the messages?

Make a list of bumper stickers  you encounter or ask your friends and family what they see.  Recognize the power of words.  Saying you do not want something can inadvertently invite it.  Feel the vibrations. If someone points out bumper sitckers like; protest tuition hikes, stop the corruption, don't vote for X, the universe hears were you place the emphasis.  Check out these stickers: http://www.funny2.com/bumper.htm

Some of those on the list were so funny! Thanks for the laughs.

Getting lighter and lighter here at the library -- I might just up and float away. They'll be pulling me down from the ceiling any minute. :)

Lynn, words create worlds. You engage with them or not. Reality is neither objective or subjective. Reality is all and nothing. One cannot speak about it. One can only lose the self and everything in it.

Jannie, everything is a teacher. Never ask the mind to confirm that which is beyond it. Direct experience is the only valid confirmation. Anything else is not the same. Joy speaks through stillness.

Dear Liara, funnily, in the car on the way to school this morning, it came up for me to tell Kelly words have great reverberrating power and really do mean things -- like when she says someone is her "enemy". And she disagreed vehemently words could matter. I'll keep "working on the concept with her, and lead by loving example.

Jannie, what a wonderful opportunity to invite Kelly to pay attention to her words and figure out from where she develops the idea of enemy. As you discern, every situation is another opportunity to see a message of love. We can choose to learn negativity from others or, we can choose to show them love which appears a different example. IN truth, everything is lvoe in disguise. It is a timeless teacher.

Hi Liara .. think before you speak - what you leave can be a cruel reminder of you. Don't say when you don't need to .. sarcasm isn't such a great thing .. it's not said in jest. Funny phrases do crop up - as long as they don't hurt ... thanks for sharing .. Hilary
