How does external change empower you?

Changes you perceive around actually you teach you a lot about the self. Yet, not everyone recognize the benefits are far-reaching. What you choose to perceive outside yourself is gradually preparing you to accept far-reaching inner changes.  Consider how perception of external change empowers you;

1) Changing weather encourages versatility.  While growing up, you may have gotten used to predictable seasons, temperatures, and associated activities. You would expect to wear certain kinds of clothing at certain periods of the year.  As weather patterns change more abruptly, some geographic places experience temperatures typical of of 3-4 seasons in a day.  Climate change promotes foresight, adaptability and resourcefulness throughout a perceived calendar year.

2) Shifts in societal focus mirror inner changes. People remark on shifts in the economy and in societal structures that no longer appear to be working. In other words, values and principles are evolving. This draws attention to conditioned belief systems that people sense they are beginning to outgrow.  Deconditioning is a process that prompts people to bring fears about change to the surface.  You quietly prepare to redefine a sense of security and replace fear with unconditional love.  When and how this process unfolds is totally up to you.

3) Perception of time is changing. Notice the kinds of changes around you that capture your attention. These are not the same kinds of events that focused your mind before now.  Each event that stands out reminds you that what has happened or, what may happen, is less relvant than where you are. That is, what you perceive as priorities shift with your consciousness of what is happening. How are psychological time and fears losing relevance and power over you?

Perception of time has changed dramatically, and continues to shift. The past is surreally fuzzy, the future is no longer mesmerizing...the only reality is firmly anchored the present.

"Deconditioning is a process that prompts people to bring fears about change to the surface."

Yes. And sometimes, this brings up discomfort. As old beliefs and fears and conditioning surface, there is sometimes a recidivism. But overall, releasing is easy and natural, and the underlying sense of well-being and joy prevails.
Kaushik, as you imply, human beings are all at different stages of awareness. This includes levels of awareness about perceived fear and awareness of its root causes. As a person slowly detaches from apparently predictable things that have framed physical existence, it becomes easier to grasp core reasons for happiness have always existed beside conditioned beliefs that obscure joy. Selective awareness of truth means selective experiences of joy. Choosing to peel away apparent reasons for fear allows a person to reclaim inner power and realize reasons for joy always exist within. The only real time is now.

Yes, being aware of change helps us to be aware of our self in ways that can only be achieved through awareness.

Hi Liara,

All external change reflects how we react to inner change. I have come to love the weather in Southern California, but over the past few years, it has begun to change. The summers are not as warm as previous years and now we even get 'slight' winter conditions. I welcome the change in climate and the reactions of people when the weather drops below 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees C.)

Mark, awareness may only seem to be heightening in certain areas of your life yet awareness actually shifts focus and understanding in other areas as well. To open channels of love, empathy and self-acceptance enables you to grow more flexible and receptive to what is. Perceived external change is a reflection of what you are willing accept. Alexys offers valuable insight here.

Alexys, climate change is judged as positive, negative, good, bad and even ignored. Some people also step back and refrain from judging, yet feel something deep and meaningful in the energy shifts. These people are astute observers and sense how the external is indeed a mirror of the ongoing invisible transformation inside.

Liara,

Inside & outside, inner world, outer world... the same. The "other" merely appears to be outside of us but in fact it is all just one reality.

Amy, thanks for sharing this insight. The human mind tends to fragment energy into packages of perceived time and space in order to pin it down, identify it and attemtp to understand or master it. However you choose to perceive at this moment is not the only option available.
