Why learn to split consciousness?
Relatively few human beings have mastered the ability of being physically in more than one place at once. This is the ability to create and maintain energy vibrations in two separate physical bodies. You might imagine this requires deep focus and much energy. This something to work toward if you choose.
At the same time, every being is capable of learning to split consciousness, that is, to have that part of self in more than one place at once. Why choose to develop such an ability?
1) Recall how your body is an integrated energy dynamic.
2) Awaken the hard drive of untapped abilities in the soul.
3) Check what is goes on where you physical body is not.
4) Explore synchrony as precursor to heightening sensitivity.
5) Use thought and vision to awaken telepathic ability.
6) Discover a range of existences beyond physical reality.

I love exploring - within, without, in any form or lack there-of. :-)
I must say, the "shift of energy" phrase has felt quite natural as many experiences surfaced and I was reminded of many, many shifts - and subsequently, the energy shifted for those around me as well, and it is ALL good indeed. And dialogue, listening, taking time to understand, it makes very good sense.

P.S and I think it is way cool that you send an email to let me know you have replied, a very nice 'touch'.
Sometimes the most loving thing is to shift environments or move on from situations and relationships. Holding love in your heart for all experience is a way to nurture spiritual growth. As it is, splitting consciousness is not only done in astral planes. It is also done in the physical world when you choose to fragment yourself and spread yourself thin. All knowledge is collected through your core soul connection. That always exists to connect activitiy on multiple planes. This topic is for another blog post.
I look forward to the blog post I can only be honest and tell you that some of your words don't 'fit' yet - I certainly understand the language and the meaning of each word. However, as you string them together from your skill I struggle to 'make sense' as to how it works - 'splitting consciousness in astral places" - I know is a comparison to the physical world, and I am not able to integrate this in to applied understanding yet. I have a very different core place from which my "self" expresses - I am new to the language style - and yet quite seasoned in my own right as to how humanities relate, learn, love, survive, feel, grow, destroy. I clearly understood about shifting environments and shifting energy. I know this intimately. And I have evolved where I have love in my heart for all experience - a journey I continue to enlarge. I also love to have fun, laugh, frolic, and so forth. Perhaps I would understand more if you wrote in the first person more. What do you think?

Again, as I read your words the message or reasoning is like mine just expressed very differently. I am more, shall we say, practical, personal. I write like I speak. If you look at each of our comments I use the word "I" a lot, and you never do. It is a very different way to relate. I have had many puzzle pieces which I call squares of my tapestry of design. I think my tapestry is beautiful. I await the next square. Each are sewn in with various colors and meaning. And with you in the third person and me in the first person tense, there is a level between us - perhaps two!
I believe you see me as a student and you a teacher - which is why your comments are as they are - there is much I have told you which is not realized when you reply. As powerful as your wording is it lacks the "personal' touch. I miss that. Or better said I think it is important for a dialogue of truth to ensue openly and honestly.
I trust my honesty is safe to express.
Love and peace

Everything that exists has a being and changing levels of consciousness. Its like traditional school where you may feel slightly ahead or behind in particular subjects. With consciousness, you contend with your own self-directed learning on your schedule. And yet, certain awakenings occur in varying degrees. It is then that it is clear you are the master of your own ship yet have guides to help you temper your own stages of liberation.
Your query invites a review of the term "mainstream." If you understand this to mean 'dominant trend of belief system,' then this actually involves both conscious and unconscious perception. Subjects that are openly discussed or accepted by a large number of people do not necessaily pinpoint the truth. Factors such as motivation and level of consciousness of inner knowing, impact when you listen to the inner self or favor external influence. Some views are adopted due to emotion. Other insight stems from higher awareness, or somewhere in between.
I wonder if the universal, evolution cycle shifts energy to influence and split consciousness? It seems some people commenting here are very interested. Others do not get it.
Those beings who truly experience such things know the motivation is love not harm. Until one learns to rise above emotions and other ego obstacles the mind creates, one chooses to obscure reality. Every choice has a purpose. You never experience anything you are not ready to accept. Overcoming unconscious fear on many levels is a constant process. One is unaware inner fear still exists.
The nature of your vantage point determines what and how you see. To progress along our own journey means you move toward total detachment from judgment and expand a sense of in love. You always invite or grow aware of precisely what you need. This is not necessarily what the ego says you really want. You choose what feels right.
