Inverse what seems upside-down

How often have you felt as though things are not unfolding as you had imagined? You may have read about the law of attraction yet, your life experience has not proven to you that you get what you think about. Think again! Inverse what seems upside down.

In Neal Donald Walsch's book, Happier than God, he reminds human beings of a simple thing: opposites attract. How does this apply to your life? Well, if your current mindset or conditions are not what you think you desire, then you begin to realize you have to think about what evokes discomfort in order to evolve to another place.

This is not to say that you must experience what you do not want as some kind of penance to work toward what you do.   Such cultural ideas are conditioned. Punishment or suffering have no relevance to the underlying reality.  If you have two magnets, to draw the positive force toward you, you require a negative force to balance it out.

Similarly,  you may have been telling yourself to make different life choices, to slow down, take better care of yourself, but you keep putting this off.  Then, when your health suffers, you may say, 'this is not what I asked for!'  or 'I am getting to those changes.'  Your conscious awareness is not on the same wavelength as other parts of you.

And yet, what you asked for is already on the way.  You go through a process to create the life you desire. To draw your attention to what matters, your physical and emotional body go to great lengths to motivate you to do what you choose to do.  Every choice you make is a step toward alignment on energy levels you do not yet consciously grasp.

Hi Liara,
The law of attraction works both ways. People think it's only attracting what they want, but it is also attracting what they need - which is not often what they want. What we need often unfolds us faster than what we want.

Oh I love Neale Donald Walsch's work!!! I have however not had a chance to read this book yet - thanks for reminding me about it!

Indeed every choice and every thought leads us to or away from what we truly want, we are usually just so impatient to follow through what is on its way. And also unconscious of the opposing thoughts and actions that keep delaying it.

Evita, since you value Walsch's perspective, I believe you will also appreciate the work of Esther and Jerry Hicks. Human beings often mistake what they need for "delay." As you learn to value everything that happens, you also realize you are experiencing what you want and need simultaneously.

Alexys, the soul journey of each human has different components. As a person comes to grasp that everything is happening simultaneously, then the person realizes there is no reason to distinguish or separate "want" and "need." To move away from this kind of fragmentation is to begin to unify the soul with everything everywhere.

Sometimes opposites counterbalance what the other one lacks. Just a thought. Your weaknesses are balanced by his strengths and vice versa.

You are always insightful. Thank you my dear sweet friend. Hugs and kisses. You are so darn sweet.

Lance, inner balance takes the form of inner peace. This is indeed the underlying goal for everyone. It is astute to recognize that opposite perceptions or beliefs counterbalance. The next step is to recognize that in some sense, one cancels the other out. This would mean no such thing as strength and wekaness or positive and negative, but rather, meaningful experience is found in everything for what it is.
