13 books offer insight on 2012

Some people call it the Piscean era we are coming out of toward 2012. As humans separate from the familiar, it sometimes seems like you are cutting the self off from relationships, behaviours and points of reference that ground you. Separatist thinking thinking can alientating and yet, amazing things happen when you open to possibilities.

Hi Liara,
I haven't read any of the books you've listed here, but two others which I found really insightful are as follows:

The Mystery of 2012: Predictions, Prophecies & Possibities - which is a series of essays written by 25 of the world's current leading thinkers and authorities on the subject, including Gregg Braden, Peter Russell, Daniel Pinchbeck, Joanna R. Macy, John Major Jenkins and Carl Johan Calleman. It's very comprehensive and examines 2012 from every possible angle. I felt much calmer about what we might be facing after reading this.

And then there's The Mayan Code: Time Acceleration and Awakening the World Mind, by Barbara Hand Clow which I'm actually in the middle of reading now. This author is an International Mayan Elder and Cherokee Record Keeper who used Carl Johan Calleman research of how the Mayan Calendar works, to decifer creative patterns in human history. Much of the information she presents was also channeled to her while visiting the ancient sites. She makes it fairly easy for us non-scientific people to understand and it has that supernatural twist that's always cool.

Felicitas, as you point out, other books exist on 2012 and people are drawn to expand (or not) based on a variety of sources. I have read both of the books you mention and agree each offers its own insight into what is unfolding. As you enjoy the Mystery of 2012, I sense you also resonate with a booked edited by Daniel Pinchbeck and Ken Jordan called, Toward 2012: Perspectives on the Next Age, Tarcher (2009). For anyone who appreciates the style of Barbara Hand Clow, she also wrtten other books worth reading including, The Pleiadian Agenda and Alchemy of Nine Dimensions.
