What is the point of emptiness?

Zen koans invite you to step outside of conditioned thought to perceive differently.  You learn to discern value in situations that resonate wisdom as you choose to open the mind to new possibilities. What revelations does this koan awaken in you?

Subhuti was Buddha’s disciple. He was able to understand the potency of emptiness, the viewpoint that nothing exists except in its relationship of subjectivity and objectivity.

One day Subhuti, in a mood of sublime emptiness, was sitting under a tree. Flowers began to fall about him.

“We are praising you for your discourse on emptiness,” the gods whispered to him.

“But I have not spoken of emptiness,” said Subhuti.

“You have not spoken of emptiness, we have not heard emptiness,” responded the gods. “This is true emptiness.” And blossoms showered upon Subhuto as rain.

Tee hee! I like this one.

I like this, and what I think of when I read it is that there is a greater truth that can't be touched with our minds. It's a state of being, not one of thinking.
This is very deep. There's more it's stirring up in me, but I can't put words to that yet (which is probably very good, and along the lines of what was intended!).

Megan, taste it again, as if for the first time. Each moment, part of you dies and another part is reborn. The energy only transforms. Situations as you measure them, beceom irrelevant. Timeless presence simply takes over.

tikno, how the body responds is an extension of spirit. The desire for soulful context and insight into energy is universal. Spiritual issues are roots of a perceived crisis.

Thanks for your response.
I might be agree with you: "Spiritual issues are roots of a perceived crisis."

What kind of "spiritual issues" do you mean? There are people who reach spiritual degrees through the approach of non-religion. While others connect it to religion. And some people claim they have reach spiritual life by becoming a psychic, or learning clairvoyance. According to you, which one is better to fulfill the EMPTINESS SOUL?

Take an example from my post titled "Aware or Just A Dream". Seemingly who learned Philanthropy have different response with who learned Theosophy or Atheism. And the response against the goal of this post is vary.

Tikno, nothing is better or worse. Levels of awareness and misunderstanding exist. As a person learns to detach, he also learns not to judge or compare. Every energy being is spiritual at the core. Religion is an mind-based human invention. Spirituality is heart-centred and focused on innersight and inner expansion. Different degrees of acceptance and resistance exist. When a person remembers nothingness, then everything else falls away.
