How do you choose to see?

Thoughts and feelings are only some ways you choose to see. At a given moment, especially when you arrive at a perceived crossroads, consider how and what you choose to see;

1) Do you view through eyes of emotion?

2) Do you view from the position of another person?

3) Do you view from the angle of an analytical or logical mind?

4) Do you view through the heart and soul?

5) Do you view things as a judge and jury?

6) Do you sense as an intuitive empath?

7) Do you view things as an altruist? or something else?

8) Do you view everything in perpetual balance?

9) Do you view as a way to better understand and improve?

10) Do you view experience as another dream within a dream?

Intriguing! There are a million ways to bow down and kiss the ground... There are as many ways to "see." Great post! I'll be staying with this in my mind today.

Megan, as one grows aware of participant and observer in every experience that is happening simultaneously, one slowly realizes infinite ways exist to experience a given moment. Your choices determine your focus, priorities, whether or not you feel grounded, and which mental or soul-level preoccupations are controlling your present.

These are all great questions. I think I see through the eyes of all those you have listed depending on my mood or certain situations. My goal is to always see through the eyes of lovingkindness. It requires vigilance!

Hi Liara - very good thoughts there! For the past couple of days, I have been viewing all events unfolding before me, through the eyes of the divine spirit. It helps me remain calm, and reminds me that there is no need to get agitated over the daily drama around me. The divine spirit just witnesses all events, and goes with the flow, but never enslaved by it. The more I let the divine spirit in me take over, the more blissful I feel. Its a feeling I never want to let go of - yet I cannot point out what exactly it is that I am feeling. I do, however, know it is something deep within, and unfathomable. I find myself increasingly drawn towards letting the divine spirit take over, and thus subsequently experience the bliss AND become the bliss. Do I sound crazy? Maybe - however, my heartfelt thanks to you for letting me express my thoughts!

Hi Liara.

I am certainly getting away from being judge and jury, which I owe in part to what I've come to be aware of through your blog and your wonderful book, and am a much happier person for not judging.

Jannie, to move to acknowledge self-judgment and learn to transcend it is one of the most empowering things you can do. Your self-awareness is always changing. To become conscious of ongoing inner changes is to become a more active participant in your own self-transformation.

Jodi, to consciously choose to sense everything through a filter of loving kindness is the perspective of a willing teacher and student. You give and receive more fully.

antisarp, your perspective is meaningful as part of your process of attaining greater self-acceptance. Every thought and feeling is valid. You are worthy. loved, valuable, evolving, awakening and a beautiful soul. To transcend fear is to choose to accept all that you are.
