10 Revelations to expand your mind
Life experience teaches. You choose what to retain and what to disregard. Consider these ten revelations. Choose to reflect differently and observe how you expand your mind;
1) You are never upset for the reasons you assume.
2) No matter how painful a situation seems, it will pass.
3) Each action stimulates your mind to think for itself again.
4) Until you grow self-aware, you reframe distractions.
5) You seek whatever you are not meant to find.
6) Impermanent things conceal the power of the present.
7) Everything you do is a cyclical way to realize where you are.
8) A journey into silence provides all you need. Simply listen.
9) The mental concept of who you are is unrelated to the truth.
10) What is forever formless, imperceptible and unknowable reveals secrets of the unseen so you begin to remember more.

It is one thing to understand the meaning of this powerful statement on the mental level. But once I truly allowed it into my world, it became like a magic formula! Now, any frustrations I have in life are so much more brief and used simply as tools for catalysts of change. :-)
Jannie, impermanence is a timeless teacher. Each person is encouraged to learn detachment on the road to greater freedom. As you recognize negative and positive balance out, the whole see-saw dissolves into nothingness.
Jay, even the perceived past is an illusion. The past does not exist. And yet, your mind recognizes the usefulness of creating illusions of time for the purpose of teaching. As you raise awareness to new levels, you recognize things as they happen and even anticipate before, rather than only experiencing revelations "after the fact."
Scott, you make a key point. Theory differs from practice. To read something and to imagine it differs from learning to experience and feel it. The truth must be felt.
When we're upset, we tend to look for logical reasons but it is something deeper that contributes to the situation. I agree totally!
Came to find your response to my comment yesterday...and can't remember where I put it! LOL (I'll go back to your email...hopefully it's referenced).
Is it "true" that what we seek, we're not meant to find? While I get the whole "it's all inside of you" thing - I do think that God also places things inside of other people for a reason....for us to connect with others and discover the gifts they hold. We were formed to work together, to come together, for wholeness. Frankly, the idea of never 'seeking' is foreign to me. Guess I'm resonate with the words of Jesus = He said, "Ask, and it shall be given. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and the door will be open". Not that EVERYTHING is outside of us.
It's just that I don't think we find all the answers by simply isolating and looking 'within'.
This is a great revelation and when I see the thing " No matter how painful a situation seems, it will pass". I remembered some saying which is powerful and which helped me a lot in difficult times in my life.
"Grief and sorrow do not come to us by chance, they are sent to us by divine mercy to our own perfecting". I hope it will help people who read here sometimes.
And I love the things you are posting.Because they urge me to think. Thanks for the great posts.
