John Holland & 4 tips to evolve at your pace

Its common for people to question how to "tune into" their lives.  John Holland's 2003 book explains how he was "Born Knowing" that he was a psychic medium, but it took him years to decipher the messages all around him that have led him to live the life he does today.  He has taught me the value of not listening for what I want to hear, but the value of opening my senses to detect all that I need to experience for my own personal progress.

Of course, not everyone feels destined to follow an esoteric path.  Whatever you're working toward, it has already been sticking out in your mind.  It makes sense to pause and reflect differently about what's going on around you, even if you don't make heads or tails of things, at least not right away.

1) Probe your senses for clues to your gifts.  Information comes to us in different forms.  We get words, feelings, images, smells, tastes and experiences that defy our points of reference or even description.  People tell us things and we sense and intuit to point ourselves in desirable directions.   If you choose to consult a psychic about anything, they tune into energies to bring you face-to-face with what you already sense and know, but may not yet accept on a conscious level.

2) Learn to harness your abilities. From the moment you discern a budding interest or talent, this is a sign to develop yourself.  You may obtain a high score on a test, be singled out for some accomplishment or, silently encouraged to sharpen an innate skill.  Its all an invitation to stretch yourself, to transcend self-doubt, and a means to put your nagging fears to rest.   You may compare this to rediscovering a stranger who turns out to be none other than your true, most authenic self, your best friend.

3) Evolve to manage your life (don't let it manage you).  Life is full of distractions.  People and activities are vying for your attention.  You may juggle jobs or responsibilities because you fear embracing the truth about yourself and the risks this entails.  Making a decision to be responsible for your life, how it evolves from here, is the chance to let go of blame and guilt and to embrace what matters.

4) Remind yourself each day is a 'Memory Day.'  Everyone doesn't realize each day is a new opportunity to begin fresh or start over.  Certain days may stand out in your mind forever while others may seem utterly forgetable and just fade away.  Some people believe we take memories with us when we pass over.  We have choices to focus on creating memories of experiences that enable us to feel good now, and to uplift the spirits of other human beings whenever we can.  Make a difference in someone's life.  Create lasting memories your way.   Whatever you feel is normal for you.  Work with it.

I love the points that you have given here. Very true, when we are aware, we are able to tune into our gifts and powers.

Hi Mark,
We're all seeking answers. The more we raise our self-awareness, the less we judge our own beliefs and behaviors and the more we actually grow to understand our authentic self. Healing and inner peace occur as we choose to sense and deal with obstacles we create. We learn what it means to accept ourselves, discern joy and stand on our own.
