Strange Baby
Analysis of the week on dream submitted by T.S. in the United States.
Dream: A house is to be remodeled. I am in an upstairs bedroom. A small bed is piled high with baby clothes. I prepare to organize and move clothes and furniture to a new room so workers can do their job. I hear cooing and see a baby lying in a bassinet. I pick the baby up. She is my child. I ask no one when I had this child. I don't recall being pregnant! I have been in dreamtime for the past year. At this point, I become lucid. I look slowly around telling myself to notice the detail. The walls have little blue flowers. The two male workers wear white painters' coveralls.
The baby smiles. She looks about three months old. I see a door to another bedroom and take her in there. I lay her down on the bed. She looks up and I can sense that she speaks to my telepathically. My name is Kimberly. You are my mother. I am watching you. I held her closer and felt a rush of love being exchanged between me and the baby girl. Her eyes were a very light blue. More like and aquamarine. She has such wisdom in those little eyes. I started to cry.
Predominant Emotions: Disbelief, Sadness, Confusion, Guilt, Affection and Hope.
Interpretation: In dreams, a house represents your psyche and inner thoughts. Since you focus on reconstruction, it appears you desire to move into a new life phase or adopt a new perspective. Bedrooms are private places. In terms of truly intimate thoughts, you may resist or prefer not to "go there." Yet, you won't settle into a new state of mind until you pinpoint and eliminate reasons for discomfort. Are you denying the obvious or "painting over" the underlying issue? To work through undesirable feelings and emotions, you need go beyond the pain or suffering. Discern wisdom. Recognize what you gain from related experience.
In a way, a baby symbolizes a sense of helplessness and vulnerability. If you have lost a child or know someone who has, then this could echo attachment to real-life anxiety. Sorting clothes and changing rooms represent phases of dealing with grief and loss. Bassinets are often in bathrooms where people choose to relieve themselves. Why delay emotional work you must complete to forgive and love yourself fully? The color blue is a metaphor for melancholy. Rest assured. It also reminds us of uplifting shades of sky, truth and heaven. You consciously shift focus to contemplate roles of spiritual guides and encouraging forms of soul after death. Its no surprise a dream baby may be seen as rebirth or renewal. Some people believe spirit never dies. Aquamarine (or turquoise) is the dominant aura color of a spiritual healer on Earth. You already sense you heal from within and friendly spirit guides around you. Your deepening spiritual path may even uncover clues to a new calling.
