Be where you want and what you want now

How often have you heard yourself utter, "you cannot get there?' or "you cannot believe that!" Are you aware that this is self-defeating?  You can evolve to change the way you seek what it is you want.  You may not yet grasp what is or isn't working and why.

Knowledge isn't something you acquire.  In fact, if you pursue knowledge or happiness or anything you asume you don't have, then you already sense you cannot have it.  Its an unconscious way to reinforce you don't deserve something or, aren't meant to get it.

Another approach is to believe you have innate wisdom.  You are happiness.  You are joy.  This kind of perspective emerges out of a different kind of self-awareness.  When you pursue something, you assume its out of reach.  Why not visualize differently?

Think back to when people have asked you what you do. You may have said, "I'm studying to become..." or, "I'm training to be a..." as if you were tentative or hesitant to define what you feel you are.  No matter how you earn your living, this is only an external label.

When you develop muscles like body builders, then you develop the outward strength and resilience earned through the training and weight lifting.  Similarly, as you evolve to experience complete self-awareness, you will be able to do, sense and experience those things that beings in a heightened state of awareness do. To move into this state means believing you're there is no longer necessary.  Rather than believe in becoming, just be.

How can you know who you are?

Many human beings have an easier time discerning what they're not than figuring out what they are.  As you relate to this mindset, you may ask when it all began?

Back during school days, you may recall going through a process of elimination.  You may have used this technique on multiple choice tests.  You may have used this technique to figure out what kind of job, trade or apprenticeship made the most sense at the time.

What about the comparisons you unconsciously make? Many human beings look in the mirror and compare themselves to people around them.  You may judge yourself based on invisible standards. If you aren't built like an athlete, then you may tell yourself you aren't meant for sports.  if you don't achieve high grades in math, then you may decide you aren't destined for banking or accounting.  Does this lead you closer to who you are?

There are always some people who are convinced they know who they are from a very young age. These human beings demonstrate confidence and seem self-directed.  They may score well in particular subjects and obtain the diplomas necessary to follow a chosen path. Yet, does one kind of fulfillment mean they know all there is to know about them?

The short answer is only you can answer the question about yourself. It isn't based on what other people believe, approve or disapprove.  it isn't based on what you could be doing if you weren't doing what you are.  Knowing yourself is a feeling, a state of awareness that is growing.  This isn't complacency. It isn't based on an assumption that you've already done all you need to do.  There's so much more than you think you know.

Why fear the unknown?

Somewhere in your past, you have conditioned yourself to believe certain things about the world around you.  You allow yourself to define what is good and bad, what must be right or wrong, who is safe or dangerous and how your life should be. But, wait!

What if your assumptions are misplaced? What if your beliefs have misunderstood where you are and the situation you are in? This would suggest you're living in ways that limit yourself unnecessarily. Are you ready to change, completely rethink the unknown?

Many human beings feel better somehow if they believe they can describe something with words. Its like a perceived extension of power.  To sense you put something or someone in a place is a way to convince yourself you know it, master it and dissolve any surrounding fear.  This presumes you are not deluding yourself about reasons for fear.

Now, picture it- clean slate. No such thing as fear.  No reason to seek to control situations or people.  No doubt, frustration or lack.  No anger, jealousy, envy or revenge.  No reason for negative feelings.  Create a world from scratch and eliminate those things that disrupt your peace of mind. Life would be perceived very differently.

Steer your own flying pig

Analysis on dream submitted by Julie in Melbourne, Australia.

Dream- I was nude and steering a gigantic stuffed pig as if it were a flying helicopter. I was in the air above green, rolling hills.  I masterfully performed a circular descent as if following a whirlpool.  From my vantage point, I saw the pig and myself.  The pig was smiling.  After I landed, I abandoned the pig.  I approached a few familiar people about work matters.  One person sat slounching uncomfortably in a chair beside a table staring up at a white board.  He didn't notice I wore no clothes. I did not feel at all self-conscious. The job assignments on the whitboard didn't show a full calendar.  The man expressed mixed feelings about that.  Other contractors had already left to go separate ways.

Predominant Emotions-confidence, distress, aversion, confusion, and anticipation.

Interpretation- Events are unfolding to empower you to begin to accept yourself for what you are.  As you see through your motives and those of others, you permit yourself to sense 'the naked truth.'  It doesn't phase you that you listen to your soul.

Certain activities no longer serve you.  To raise awareness of what you need enables you to move on. You sense no wrong decisions, only the failure to make them when your instinct has urged you to do so.  You recall the source of your strength and shift focus.

That impulse to wind things up in areas of your life implies your values are changing.  Newfound freedom generates different consciousness. As your sense of ambition and achievements evolves, you are unloading unnecessary emotional and other baggage.  Your limited spatial awareness is expanding in directions you hadn't discerned before.

People you know and have known are all teachers.  The question is, what are you willing to learn from them about you? Everything from their presence or absence to silence, body language, gestures and facial expressions, all convey messages from your soul.  Each situation may be temporary or even unavoidable.  Yet, lessons stand the test of time.

What can you learn from a child?

Adults are often conditioned to assume that they need to teach the impressionable minds of children lest they be permitted to wander.  But, wait a minute! How often have you, as an adult, asked yourself what you can learn from a child? Its never to late to learn:

1) children instinctively know how to be happy in the moment for no reason

2) children dream with no limits

3) children find meaning in choosing to be busy

4) children find it easy to nurture unwavering faith in what they do not see

5) children realize sometimes its necessary to struggle in order to learn

6) children sense value in honesty and are apt to say what they mean

7) children find ways to make sense of what is happening but do not strive to explain it
