Sources of inspiration
Each person can discover places that enable them to develop ideas and sharpen focus. When was the last time you sought places that really enabled you to relax and focus on things? Where were you? Where would you like to go to get inspired?

For the next few days, I'm exploring historic temples and shrines in Kyoto, Japan. This has been a longtime dream of mine. I'm fascinated by the architecture and symbolism, as well as the diverse trees and plants of the gardens. I brainstorm and organize ideas amidst nature. Unusual setting serve for some of my most creative inspiration, but I've also learned I need not travel far to be inspired.

As it happens, I didn't visit Fushimi Inari Shrine on my August trip. Yet, the diversity of Kyoto temples and shrines leave more for next time. The Ginkakuji area was memorable for me, as well as Tenryu-ji and other Rinzai Zen temples noted for Zen gardens. Such settings inspire visitors to feel undisturbed, undistracted, and offer insight into the power of sacred spaces. We each create and learn from our own.
Hi Jenny,
True, any spaces can inspire. You can even devise a portable secret space inside where you learn to close yourself off from events unfolding around you. When you choose, you can get a better handle on things, gain perspective, and detect sources of inspiration. You create your bridge to new ways of understanding.
To learn progressive relaxation encourages us to teach and practice only love, for that is what we are. If you interpret your life and surroundings differently, then you ignore the inner peace and purpose which your mind can inspire anywhere. Each of us is stronger than we think we know and wiser than we assume.
