Notice what animals teach you

Many human beings allow ego to construct a hierarchy of creatures. Be aware of thoughts and other behaviour that appease mind.  Where do these ideas come from?  What do they block you from seeing?

What if every being and creature is equal and offers timeless teachings? Notice the universe offers many opportunites to be open and receptive.  Share timeless lessons you learn from the wild kingdom.

In terms of wild creatures, its interesting to see how many people are absolutely afraid of the idea of meeting up with bears face to face withing the forest. What just came to me is that bears are omnivores and eat and digest a wide variety of energies. They adapt well to a variety of changing habitats and are able to process and digest the fat and experiences they experienced during the winter months so they can slim down to begin cycles brand new.

To many, the collective energy of the bear is therefore very foreign to them. They in essence have rejected the energy of the bear and the bear therefore haunts them till they re-accept the bear within. Then they too can begin to digest new information and can then adapt to the wilderness and the wild that is our natural home, where new creations and rhythms can be installed and experienced.

So if people are afraid of certain animals, they can investigate them till they become friends with them once again, which will then shift their overall direction in life where life will blossom to a greater degree.

If animals catch our attention in a seemingly positive way, it may be an energy that we have called upon ourselves through our intentions. For instance, the Swainson's and Hermit Thrush sing a song whose note rise into the heavens above. We can fuse with such energies and they open up new worlds.

Pets are also an interesting phenomena. One's pet is an extended attachment and reflection of the so-called owner. Is your pet aggressive or shy and docile. Is it diseased? Does it have strange habits or addictions. These are all extensions of the Self where the pets behaviour is in direct correlation to one's own personal auric field and the environment that one creates for its self.

Through our daily actions, we create energetic niches that surround us which sometimes attracts pests or predators or insects that carry diseases. They are there because one attracts them with what we carry inside of ourselves.

Our greater environment and how we relate to it is therefore a reflection of our entire self and those issues and blocks and parameters to living that we carry. We can learn from the bear and digest some of the fat and the weight that we have put upon ourselves and the greater world that we participate in.

Bernie, fear takes infinite forms and empowers everyone to notice and transcend their illusions.

I agree with you Liara, but many people accept fear as healthy and they often make excuses to succumbing to it. But from experience, I too know, that issues come to a breaking point where we are forced to address these problems and to realize that they are indeed illusions. It is certainly a process that one undertakes over lifetimes to eventually transcend time. As the saying goes, One has to admit they do have a problem in the first place, when they can no longer function comfortably in their normal circumstances in life. These are the rumblings that bring the zombie realm back to the brink of life.

Bernie, you kindly remind readers that mind projects and responds to many energy forms. Fear is but one kind of lesson animals help teach. People also learn positive lessons from animals about everything from compassion and sharing to living now and loving kindness. Saint Bernards and dolphins are known to rescue human beings from life-threatening conditions. People invite animals to assist on diverse levels consciously and unconsciously.Other people are unaware of wisdom available.

I love thoughts and feelings that all beings are the same, the sameness feels like it is within the energy of each being, so lessons learnt feels like it would come through this energy.

This energy in the sameness feels like it is of survival of some kind too, not in a way of maybe life after death or survival of the fittest, because these feel of the mind, but maybe moreso in the nourishment, or nuturing, or nature :)

Liara and Bernie, hi! I receive reminders of life lessons from animals all the time, and always have. Goldfish, cats, dogs, horses, betta fish, squirrels, packrats, chipmunks, rabbits, deer, horses, wild birds of all kinds, coyotes, bobcats, javelina... Among all the things I see, a calm sense of place in community is one of the most obvious. They get along. They take turns, share, give way, maintain their space when they need to; they nurture and encourage; they're curious about others... The list goes on. Humans can learn so much from them! I've also observed how very intelligent and giving they are. My Siamese cat was a pro. When I was a teen and young adult, going through many emotional changes, my little four-legged nurse would lay on my back, my stomach, beside my face...always when I needed the comfort the most. As soon as I'd feel better, he'd leap up to attend his own business. Sometimes we'd lay for hours, other times just minutes, but he always knew, without me even moving, that something inside me had shifted back into its rightful place.

By the way, I have found Bernie's statements about pets to be true. In fact, I'm so glad to see him share these sentiments, because now I know I'm not alone in observing this. In fact, by observing my horses, I've been able to see areas in my own life that needed addressing. I also concur with his statements about pests. Ours seems to be the only home in our area that's free of rattlesnakes and scorpions; I'm convinced it's because, first, I'm not afraid of them, and second I've asked them to stay clear of the house because my husband is more cautious than I and prefers them to be far, far away. Instead, the bunnies, chipmunks and songbirds keep us company.

Animals... They've always been some of my best friends, teachers, and healers. It's true for everyone, if they allow it.

This also reminds me of the idea of quantum mechanics and how the observer effects that which is being observed. This brings me to my days in the Aleutian Islands studying sea otters. There are not very many people watching sea otters out there. If I enter the scene, then my energy mixes with their energy and it opens up new doors for the sea otter society to enter into. Their collective dream is then more easily influenced by my dream. How I see or interpret the sea otters will also then potentially influence their behavior even though I didn't talk to them face to face. Its like my mere presence has an unseen conversation with them giving them new possibilities or energy to digest. I am both a virus to them and new blood to activate dormant genes. The otters out there are constantly changing and moving towards new food resources. They have new unique relations with Orca whales, and their overall population recently took a nose dive. Since we are all connected on infinite levels, we are all responsible for what we are seeing and experiencing directly before us in our immediate and global environment.

tumel, one perspective is all beings exist on a horizontal rather than vertical (hierarchical) plane. In this sense, they are comprised of the same energy. Yet, it is still possible to exist at different stages of awakening, to activate different degrees of opennness, compassion and potential and see or block layers of the truth of how things are. Selective awareness is relative to many variables.

Julie, both you and Bernie acknowledge how animals adopted as pets sense energy in a very intimate way. Cases exist where cats with keen senses detect cancer arising in humans before it manifests. Human beings are sometimes amazed at how well animals seem to sense mood swings, shifts in energy vibration and degrees of confidence or other emotions. This reminds people what they choose to perceive reflects conditioned belief or misunderstanding. The mind functions in ambiguity, that is, it attempts to explain what it does not grasp, whereas heart aligns with what animals see without ego.

Bernie, your example of watching sea otters is reminiscent of stories shared about dolphins. Many creatures are highly attuned to their core energy, how it interfaces with other creatures and also a sense of surroundings. You remind readers that although external things do not reunite one with the God source, interacting with them can help erase misperceptions from the mind and empower people to awaken to what they already know, that everything is interconnected in 'one love.'

Once I posted the lesson of mindfulness from a turtle,
http://thesoulsanctuary.us/2009/12/the-wise-master/

but of course a turtle is just one of countless! :D
Rizal, thanks for the tip. Readers may also reflect on other life lessons offered by the turtle.

Hi Liara .. creatures have so much to offer - as has been said above .. African animals look after each other, not necessarily of the same type .. and look at the evolutionary adaptions that flora and fauna have made to be able to continue inhabiting this earth with us.

The animals that flee before an earthquake .. are another example of their 'energy feelings' .. there's so much for us to learn ..

Thanks Hilary

I found myself trying to understand this perspective of a horizantal line :) at first I imagined a graph with no fluctions, like what is shown when a heart has stopped, and found myself wanting to add lines and circles to this. Then I imagined a long drawn out breath, like a hmmmmmmmmmm... and saw after when my focus was on maintaining this hmmmmmm...there were no up and down lines but found when my breath ran out, other lines appeared again below and above this horizantal line, and wondered about circles.:) but I began to see this horizantal line as somewhat as a core or a balance and now when writing this even as a horizon that feels somehow that it shifts upwards able to bring with it the lines below and above, so it feels strong to me.

Then I read your entry about ego and found myself again wanting to understand more of ego and came across this article: http://deoxy.org/egofalse.htm

I saw this core that the article speaks of again as this horizontal line and saw too, all living things as having this core, and lines above and below as the aspects or degrees maybe of the perspective.

What I continue to feel is that there is mind or something like mind in all living things, in the creation, the energy, the core, the line, and begin to see ego as an aspect, and I begin to see how circles can appear on this line too :), when I find myself thinking that all living things actually might have egos or forms of egos :)

in that all is affected by all, and maybe, like what is said in the article, when we are no longer affected or become transparent :) then we are the hmmmmmmmmm of the line :)

Hilary, animals do invite human beings to attune more to their intuition. How often do people disregard instincts the mind cannot explain only to realize (at some stage) that mind is incapable of sensing on the same level as heart? Every choice is a timeless teacher. You grasp what you are willing to see.

tumel, words are used by the mind to interpret the truth when living experience is what ultimately offers clarity into the intimate workings of the divine. From birth, the human mind takes control over soul-level insight. Awakening is the process of shifting from an external to internal vantage point.
