Why feel your way along?
"Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power. If you realize that you have enough, you are truly rich.” ~Tao Te Ching
Human beings learn, evolve or remember in infinite ways, including; reflection, imitation and/or experience. How do you feel and understand stages of your own awakening?

Everyone contains unique knowledge, but it is usually only important in the aspect of telling their own story. So, it is not important to listen to outside knowledge unless it applies to everyone, which would in essence be universal truth, and therefore wisdom for all to share. Through intelligence, we can tap into anothers paradigm and use their language or dream symbols to point towards higher resonating frequencies that are the escape hatches to more spacious rooms within the mind. When the mind is no longer clouded, one has easier access to the Heart, which is linked to wisdom when opened to direct experience and the dance of the Moment.
I sense those that master others can use this as a stepping stone or path to mastering themselves. Once it is easy for them to control the outer world, they feel empty and begin searching within to begin the process of mastering themselves.
For those who collect things in the outer world, it may often represent collecting aspects of the inner self till all of the pieces come together to boost them to a higher energy level. Usually when someone stops and sells or gives away a collection, they have worked through the issue that created the compulsion to search for and collect in the first place. However, if one has enough consciousness to ask why they are doing something in the first place, the spell can usually be easily broken before the process takes over.
Artists usually begin by imitating original pieces of art that the collective community values. By resonating with differing techniques and styles by different artists, or to begin seeing what is the commonality in all great works of art, the emerging artist has been reflecting and bringing together new combinations of energies, and begins developing a unique pathway which is a doorway to greater personal awakening.
Musicians use reasoning techniques at first to play instruments. They are stiff and structured. But as they learn to let go and trust in the movements, they begin to flow with and embody the notes. The notes then play themselves through the musician. The same can be said with sports, where and when one disciplines themselves rigourously, only to eventually learn to relax and make everything look easy.
As you say, we awaken in infinite ways. It differs greatly depending upon our focal points which may reside in differing energy centers in the body. Essentially, when we learn to let go of the things that we find difficult and hard, we will all master the art of being easy. It just a matter or realizing that all barriers are in essence within, and therefore, need to be removed from within through self-reflection.
