How do you get from thinking to doing?

You have done it.  You have come to conclude what you are doing right this instant does not reveal who you really are.  This is a stage in your awareness. How do you get from thinking about something to living it? Share a step in your personal process.

think about what u want, set a goal for yourself (and a reward), and once you reach that goal, reward yourself.
thoughts become actions! :)

Phoenix, as you begin to sense impulses within your own process, this is a step to better understanding yourself. You did not just happen upon this website right now. You invited it into your life because of where you are on your own path. This is a reminder you cause everything that seems to happen. You are slowly uncovering your underlying motives.

This is an intersting question. When I read it I drew a blank. And then the voice/presence that I communicate/commune with spoke and I heard, "Thinking and acting? There is no separation. They are one and the same."

I just love how your thoughts inspire me. I am a flame that has chosen to always burn brightly, but when your soul passes by....my flame turns into a bonfire!!! :) :) I love it! Thank you for such a gift.

Robin, human existence is all about moving to unify opposing forces you have unconsciously created within yoruself. From birth, each individual takes steps to move further away from the truth as part of the process of reuniting with all that matters. People often evolve to feel they realize what they do not desire before they conclude decisively what they do.

Liara ~ "You have come to conclude what you are doing right this instant does not reveal who you really are."

That was/is not so...what I was doing right at 'that' instant...and at 'this' instant, was who I really am/are/was ~ and will be. Even when I think I am not who I really am...I am, both in that thought and in the action or inaction of myself. I cannot be out of character because that out of 'character me' is me.

Henry, your view invites me to add a clarification. What I wish to point out is that a job you perform at any moment does not reveal who you really are. That is, anything you do that begins from outside yourself often comes with a label. Human beings will become distracted by labels, such as, "I am a plumber," or "I am a fireman." Yet, how you apply conditioned knowledge in the physical world is very different than what you can do with innate, natural inclinations and skills. The latter are most often suppressed or ignored.
