Are you magnifying the right thing?

Its not the measurable size of an issue that matters, its whether you're able to put a situation into perspective.  When did you last  remind yourself that something positive was bigger than your perceived problems? Something greater could always intervene.

One point of view is that no matter what you experience right now, this can be seen as a stepping stone to get you somewhere better.  You don't have to remind yourself someone is always worse off than you are. You can focus in a different direction, a higher one.

When you remember than adversity is only temporary, you can evolve to realize the experience is making a lasting difference on you from the inside.  What if you decided to imagine that the nature of your future was reflected by the depth of your problems? Wouldn't that imply you're truly going places? Pride is irrelevant in light of your heart.

If you step back, you may sense a self-defeating mindset is holding you back like a ball and chain.  Huge may seem the obstacles in front of you, but more convincing is the faith inside yourself that enables you to surpass them. What you see is changing as a result of what you don't see.  Faith in yourself, in what is and will be transforms your life already.

Very good! Yes, it is a matter of our own thoughts, our own perspective which defines the size of our problems.

Mark, what sets each of us apart isn't a self-view of inferiority or superiority or anything similar, but our individual awareness and capacity to be responsible for who we are.

It is a rare moment that if I am only thinking of the moment and nothing else, that things seem possible and light is present. Moment by moment life is quite the exciting adventure.

Harmony, Eckhart Tolle has written the Power of Now and similar books. He invites us to rethink our ego, perception and priorities. As you train yourself to behave differently than before, you will notice subtle nuances and raise your awareness exponentially.

Shilpan, I sense intrinsic value in empowering human beings to take greater responsibility for their thoughts and feelings. We each face real confrontions within ourselves but we have nothing to fear unless we believe in our own illusions. To move beyond them, we must evolve to magnify the truth. This may differ greatly from what we have done most of our lives. To realize you judge can bring an immense sense of guilt. This too is a step forward.

I like to compare my challenges to the size of the universe. It makes the challenges seem insignificant in the grand scheme of things. This comparison allows me to have a new perspective and the will to carry on.

Bruno, that sounds like a very healthy perspective. No matter what you have experienced in this life to date, the time may arise when you surpass your limits, where fear and self-doubt gain a bit of ground. If and when that happens, its useful to tell yourself each test is like a springboard to a better you. Self-growth is definitely worth it.
