Follow the clues to rediscover yourself

Each of us go through a process to figure out who we really are.  Some people do not figure it out during this lifetime.  That doesn't have to include you.  Decide you will go the distance to tap into your soul.  Your choice of mentors makes it easier than you think!

1) Notice how your mentors change.  Through the process of researching and writing a manuscript, I have read hundreds of stories of people who have influenced my thoughts and behaviors at different life phases. Some people left a lasting impression in person. Others captured my attention with action and what I sensed to be their appealing qualities. Aspects that stand out encourage me to realize I can tap into my hidden self.

2) Discern why you label mentors.  I unconsciously put each of my mentors into categories, from nationality, to gender, profession or contribution to society, and based on my upbringing, morals and values. I intially felt this simply helped me to organize my ideas, then concluded a significant, underlying message. My feelings about different labels became a gauge. Recognizing why I judge empowers me to transcend destructive labels I had adopted myself. We may project and attract what we don't want or what we're not.

3) Identify traits of your mentors. How you judge others reveals how you secretly view yourself and the world. If you commend or admire other people in ways that reinforce what you lack, wish you had or could do, you may be highlighting weaknesses, self-doubt and things that distract you from your truth. Your mindset, priorities and principles are highlighted by certain traits and views of success.

4) Discern value in undesirable mentors.  Even people you find annoying offer you valuable wisdom about yourself.  You can see these irritants as teachers and a means for overcoming facits of ego.  This clouds your authentic self-view and blocks you from recognizing what is truly important to your innermost soul.

5) Look beyond the obvious. Underneath it all, you don't desire to mimic or shapeshift into your inspirational mentors. You are actually creating an inventory of the skills related to your own transformation. Your mentors enable you to pinpoint not only the emotions you feel about what they do, but also your inner beliefs that caused those emotions. These clues reveal the path to reclaim your authentic self.

Liara,
Mentors are interesting because I find as I delve deeper into truths that the mentor didn't necessarily have the truth. Truth mutates. It's like a reflection of light. When you move to one side, you see a different aspect and when you move to another side, there is another view - all their own versions of truth.

Selvy, its useful to realize our minds echo thoughts about what we are supposedly able to do or not, that is, what the mind (ego) thinks is good or not. We internally judge our abilities based on harsh views about our limitations. Mentors are wise teachers who can serve to help us realize we are not our beliefs. You constantly evolve within yourself.

Alexys, my own experience compliments your latest reflection. Throughout my life, I have felt inspired or motivated by the life experiences of other people. I have also evolved to realize that as they share their perspective of their own truth, this helps me uncover new facits of my own truth, which doesn't necessarily mirror theirs. Rather than say the "truth mutates," as if it was a dangerous microbe or out-of-control, I sense my truth is a living, breathing entity that is ever-evolving, within my control, and never to be feared.

Liara,
One thing that I have found is that truth always IS, no matter how we look at it.

Alexys, I agree with you. As individual perception of love and fear changes, the truth remains the same. It is never destroyed. At a given moment, the mindset we find ourselves in determines at what level we're ready to experience the truth or, "all that is."

Great Blog, Congraulations, Just to add to your thoughts...
We also understand the utmost importance of Building the Mindset for Wealth Creation. As an active investors, we know that without the right control of your own Mindset, it is easy to lose the momentum of Wealth Building.
This is evident with those who WIN BIG at gambling or lotto or even mining. Some years ago we had an opal mine in central Australia. One of the miners struck a very profitable seam of opal..over $1M worth of beautiful opal. This was not his first $1M find, but his focus was on finding Opal, not building wealth. He had a big weekend in the city, and lost the lot, in one weekend, in the Casino. Plenty more where that came from, right? Well the Opal has run out now and he's still scratching for a living.
We all know the stories of celebrities, who thorough their talents have earned Millions in a short time, to find that their personal lives are in ruins.
Often publicised in the press are the stories of the "filthy rich" who obtaing their wealth by ripping their fellow humans off, or by trading illegally.
Yet there are many very wealthy people who are happy and well adjusted and continue to build their protfolios and help others who are interested to do the same.
The difference is their Mindset, linked with the skills and tools to continue building their lives in balance and prosperity, understanding there is plenty for all. These are the mentors we link with and who have helped us immensely in building our profitable investment portfolio. We don't invent new ways of making money, we just copy the proven, tried and trusted, lowrisk strategies of our self made Millionaire/Billionaire mentors.
What a privelege it is to link with such positive creative people, and to build towards our full potential in a balanced and prosperous life.

James

James, your reflections invite readers of this blog to realize wealth and mentors come in different shapes and sizes. Human beings spend their lives redefining prosperity and inspiration. As each person changes at different life phases, their sense of who inspires them changes as well.
