Upcoming destinations

I'll be on the move in August and look forward to sharing exciting events and experiences in Canada, Finland, Hong Kong and Japan.  I welcome your thoughts on these and other destinations.   How do your dreams relate particular places in your past, present and future?  How would you like travel to be part of your life or not?

Ohhh, so exciting! I'm looking forward to a big and long awaited trip early next year. I'm currently in the midst of deciding upon destinations so will look forward to hearing about your journeys. Been a little under the weather but will catch up on old comments (and read that article) when I get a chance.

Life can be as exciting as you choose. Everything begins with your perception. Travel enables you to re-connect with people and better get-to-know yourself, based on what you read and where you choose to go. Your feelings offer clues about your sense of fulfillment and purpose. Learn to intuit and read them.

During the first stage of my August journey, I'll be attending the wedding of a good friend I haven't seen for 10 years. Sure, I could've chosen other places to visit, but interacting with people is part of what excites me about travel. Where you go may be less important than how you feel about your choices and underlying motivations. As you plan the upcoming trip, you may be surprised to discover your choices hinge on people you've known or still know. What makes life seem more meaningful for you?

Hey Liara,
I'm with you at least some of my travel choices will be made based on people I want to reconnect with. I traveled a great deal when I was younger and plan on reconnecting with some old friends who are scattered worldwide. Meet children I've only seen photos of and such...

I'm pretty sure that I'll be stopping in your great country. :) Not sure where you are located but perhaps we can connect for lunch or something if I'm in your area.

"What makes life seem more meaningful for you?"

Woops, forgot to answer your question ;)

Umm, beauty makes life meaningful to me. Probably not beauty as most people define it though - a beautiful thought or idea, a beautiful person to converse with (shines from the inside, not standard definitions of beauty), a beautiful view, leaf or day, and so forth. Things that fill my heart and mind are what makes life meaningful to me.

What a wonderful thing to say. Perception and the will to experience may be the real keys to happiness.
