Magical tools at our fingertips

If magic is a tool we can dream, learn and draw from, then we have the power to create a truly  magical life.  We each possess abilities that we seldom, if ever admit, discover and often never develop because of how we think and influence of the status quo.  Who says you can't do something?  You can accomplish anything you set your mind to do.

Consider why is it that "You've Got Talent" shows are suddenly becoming so popular in various nations. Why does an unassuming, shy guy who works in a mobile phone warehouse turn out to be a gifted opera singer for a UK Talent search? Why does a mousy pharmacist come out of the woodwork to win the Australian Idol contest as a talented singer with a unique falsetto?  Why do you sense 'unlikey' people discovering incredible abilities?  Contrast this with your idea of who is likely to be talented.  How would you know such a person to look at them?

How you nurture your own misconceptions about others reflects back on your misconceptions about yourself.  It is really magic that ordinary people reveal extraordinary abilities? Could it depend on ritual and practice as much as faith?  What about trust and self-confidence that experiences don't always promote before talent searches? Would you take the risk to unveil your hidden talent to the world?  It would be desirable to at least admit it to yourself.  People desire to believe they have talent.  Why must self-acceptance be legitimized by society?  We all benefit from self-reflection.

Positive thinking is an ability that encourages you to explore possible hidden talents.  What kind of labels or superstitions do you associate with your skills? Who caused you to feel that way?  Those things that enable you to connect with an intimate part of your being are signs.  What messages are they conveying?

You may be frightened by the prospect of success.  Yet, the truth is that you may be impressionable about negative things and find it hard to realize you can win at what you truly desire.  The first step is to realize you have talent.  Tap into it your way.  Magic is found in believing in yourself for real.  This goes beyond positive thinking itself.  Magic lies in the doing.  Connect with your core and feel the electric vibes.

Hello Liara:

I've read this twice today. It's truly lyrical...full of possibilities.

Thank you.
Galba, we all have unlimited sources of magic inside. Adults tend to forget because their childlike innocence and appreciation for fantasy gets conditioned out. I would encourage you to build your life around your own sense of magic. Accept nothing has changed, that you are enlightened by the truth. To a degree, we all pretend in order to invite desirable situations toward us. Magic helps and makes life more fun!

Hello Liara:

I appreciate your encouragement. Part of me is still an adventurous little boy. He drives much of my creative expression. Your article and subsequent comment remind me I need to nurture and continue to express that part of me. :)
