It is common to encounter people who focus on what they have not yet accomplished or done. They may even get down on themselves.  You may not realize that your mind is spending more time telling you what is wrong with you than what you are doing right.   Part if you may be wondering, how do you encourage your true self?

Everyone has power to draw strength from inside themselves.  How often do you do this?  When you struggle at work, in relationships, with your health or, some other area of  your life, it may seem challenging to focus on blessings.  Yet, you can! It begins with you.  Encouraging your core to emerge and flourish is related to celebrating all that you are.

No matter what you are facing, you did not get this far without believing in something great for you.  You have faith in yourself to get this far, and learning is a constant process.  Rather than pinpoint the wrong you do, highlight everything that goes right.

It is much harder to maintain a negative focus if you have a sense of reasons to encourage yourself.  Have you ever made a list of reasons why you have made it this far? Have you ever kept a record of comments, cards or other ways people praise you for what you have done? If not, you can write these things down yourself.

To get to the point where encouraging yourself comes easily, you need to be willing to take a few initiatives.  You can realize that being down on your luck does not mean you have to stay in a related mindset.  Be willing to change. It is not possible to stay down and defeated when you learn to compliment yourself sense teh good you offer others.

To encourage your true self begins with believing in your untapped potential. You need to imagine what good you can do in the world.  You have to be ready to realize what good you have already done, how you bless people with your existence and efforts as you are.

Learn to accept compliments and give them to yourself. You are great at something, even if you do not yet know what it is. Go ahead, look in the mirror and tell yourself you are fabulous, loving and becoming all you can!  Do not hesitate to celebrate yourself.
