A revelation

Notice what happens from the moment you recognize that you only ever talk with yourself.  Notice what is watching and appreciating the dialogue.  If "you" is over there then who is right here, now?

Feel what its like to lose interest  in comparing between where you came from and where you are going.  Nothing always keeps "you" in sight. Everything is a mirror.  What do you see? Silence listens.

One babbles until they un-switch attention to their brook.
Only the forest really hears a fallen tree upon in-pact.

Bern, it all comes down to the limitation of personal will. The loss of personal will and the illusion of all that is personal, shifts attention to the movement of the eternal flow. As you get out of your own way, it is apparent life always drives itself for itself.

Hi Liara ... so true - inner silence is an essential to life ...

The first sentence of this one intrigues me. Yes, I accept we are all One, an infintesimal part of The All. Nevertheless, we are 'seemingly' separate and I suspect we choose to operate that way. When I address another human being I do not see myself as addressing myself. This is one 'soul' (seemingly separate piece) addressing another soul (seemingly separate piece. Infinite Intelligence, or whatever we might refer to the unknown Knower, has created diversity and seeming separateness for a reason - or so it seems.

"Only ever talk with yourself" need further clarification, for I'm not really getting what you're getting at.

Hilary, listen to silence and the mind no longer holds your attention.

Tom, notice the mind tells 'you' to believe in separation and tells 'you' how to think and function. The mind cannot fathom anything beyond itself. The real 'you' exists beyond mind.
Here is a timely quote by Lao Tzu:

The ego is a monkey catapulting through the jungle:
Totally fascinated by the realm of the senses,
it swings from one desire to the next,
one conflict to the next,
one self-centered idea to the next.
If you threaten it, it actually fears for its life.

Let this monkey go.
Let the senses go. Let desires go.
Let conflicts go.
Let ideas go.
Let the fiction of life and death go.
Just remain in the center, watching.

And then forget that you are there.
