Expand more than your mind

Analysis of dream submitted by Anonymous.

Dream- I drove a hatchback car onto the lawn of a physician who lives up the road from my parents. A male laboratory technician from university was the passenger. Over-sized, sticky snails crawled around us inside the vehicle. The man beside me decapitated one to eat it. I watched in disbelief and hesitated to get out. I focused instead on one snail's third eye.

Predominant Emotions- disgust, aversion, and resistance.

Interpretation- You have remained outside or felt alienated from traditional forms of healing. Something draws you to connect with a source of healing inside. It requires you detach from the familiar.  Spontaneous healing occurs on invisible levels. You sense steps to initiate new kinds of self-healing.

Snails are often associated with slow and steady progress. You evolve at your own pace. Does part of you feel you are "losing your head" over something? You hope to get ahead and this requires you getscattered thoughts under control. What you are seeing does not yet make sense. Stick with it. Reality is not going anywhere. You have alternatives to discipline the mind.

The opening of the third eye represents of a period of profound spiritual awakening. This is also known as of as the gate that leads within to inner realms and spaces of higher conscious awareness.  As you begin to realize levels of perceived reality are illusions, you dissolve them, to reinterpret electromagnetic energy. As your frequency rises, you suddenly receive images, metaphors, still-frame and animations from other realms. Experience, test and explore what is revealed and you expand.

Hi Liara

So this was a reader's dream and your interpretation of it?

I've read that emotions are important in dreams and I see that these are listed here, but am not sure how they connect with the interpretation.

This one is fascinating Liara. A hatchback car is very snail-like in appearance. Within and without a snail - like the Russian dolls...I think it was Winston Churchill who said of Russia that it was

"A mystery wrapped inside an enigma."

Juliet, different approaches exist for dream interpretation. Any person can become empowered to understand deeper sides of the self through exploring the meanings of feelings and symbols. When you resist one thing, you are always giving into another. Every feeling has an opposite that is always present even if you only notice certain feelings as being prominent. This section is where I share a piece of a dream that has been shared with me as well as part of an analysis. It is a glimpse of the whole picture. If you have a dream to share, contact me to explore possible readings. I empower you to gain insight into yourself.

henry, the Russian doll analogy is an intriguing one. In the more detailed full-length dream, the passenger is slouching and hatchback does have a connotation of a physical lean. You read as deeply or as superficially as you choose and always get something out of it of value.

It is enlightening that you used what emotions the dreamer felt first . This is so important in dream interpretation, because some dreams may seem awful at first but if you awaken with a skip in your step, the interpretation takes on a new light. This dreamer had great imagery to work with, and I am curious, is this an Jungian approach? Seems rooted in it for sure.

An intersting interpretation. But a very unusual dream...but I get the point.

Jay, I use a mixture of approaches for dream analysis. Some people prefer purely Jungian, Freudian or other base theories for interpretations. I discuss options with clients to discover whether they have a particular preference. How well I know clients, and how clearly I read their energies, also influences my chosen approach.
