Share a mystical experience

At this moment, you are invited to share a mystical experience with fellow visitors.  What causes you to describe this event as "mystical?" What does opening up about it teach you about your true self? It would be helpful to others if you would explain what you understand as "mystical" as well.  Brainstorm thoughts, feelings, metaphors or whatever energy resonates.

1) What prompts you to share this? Who else have you told?

2) When have you discerned or heard of similar things?

3) How does being more honest with yourself alter perception?

4) What do you sense you gain from choosing to share here?

5) Where does conscious expansion some into this?

Liara, I just had to respond to this one, because I love the word 'mystical' and I use it to describe a lot of different kinds of experiences...I guess I probably use it more liberally than most, but I think any moment in our life can be mystical...some of my favorite mystic moments are out in nature - gazing at a beautiful mountain and feeling a deep and profound humility at the sheer size and longevity of the earth...or watching waves in the ocean and feeling myself merge into the movement and water...In meditation there are many moments of merging and release that I would describe as mystical, but I like to mention the everyday nature ones, because I think it is easy to overlook these...thx for a provocative question...

Lisa, in gratitude for your intimate sharing & candidness. Some people find mystical experiences defy explanation with traditional words. As you merge with energy, you sense you are everything flowing lightly and freely.

I think I was around 16 years old. I was lying in my bed with the sun shining in my bedroom. I was warm and relaxed. I was thinking about what i did yesterday. Then I thought about what i did last week. Then last month. Then I reviewed the highlights of my life from last year, and the memories kept pouring in. Five years ago. 10 years ago. I was a little kid. I was a baby. What did I remember before that? Then lost in thought, I found the way out of thought. A bright white tunnel emerged and I whooshed through it and found my self above my body. I floated to the opposite side of the room and saw my self staring into space with my eyes open on the bed. I became scared and rushed back to my body and snapped upright within my bed. I had had an out of body experience. It felt more real than reality. It was more in focus. It was brighter. It was more energetic. I knew then there was life after death. It catapulted me into searching for meaning in life. What was life all about? It was an awakening point....a very spiritual moment, although I would not have used those words back then. It was mystical because I knew there was something more to what meets the everyday common eye. I had escaped one bubble to become part of a greater bubble.

Bernie, human beings often work backwards in a linear manner to remember what they are. To branch out from the linear mind reveals multiple experiences all flow together in every direction. A fantastic vision originates in the womb as soul enters physical matter to take form. The bubbles intermingle and sensations defy more than gravity. How do you convey such a timeless experience? Merge with energy consciousness and send the vibration.

Asa child lying on my back on the snow with soft flakes falling forever from the heavens I was at my most peaceful. There was no moment before, none after. Just the hush of wonder and awe at being part of something so sacred.

I am not sure who else I have told. I spent a lot of such wonderful moments alone in winter, feeling the pulse of the earth below that lay sleeping but content in its dreams.

From choosing to share here I gain a re-aquaintance with my quieted spirit of those moments.

Mystical is the glimpse of divinely enchanted nature that we experience at times somewhere from rarely to every moment. The act of simply being aware of being being in itself is mystical.

I have had the pleasure of experiencing this mystical experience on 2 occasions that i am aware of.The last time this happened unfortunately was over 10 years ago.If i am to use words to explain this-it has been said in different ways...that this feeling was beyond explainable.....i remember that i had a feeling of complete totalness with myself, that there wasn't-and could not be anything wrong or negative,i had lost all concept of the reality we all know, that something had come over me and gave me a feeling that anything was possible,it was a very warm, blissful, moving experience for me.Some research has suggested that people who have this experience try to recapture this feeling by trying to get back to the experience with little success.I have always found the different concepts on meditation, human betterment and so forth very compelling and rewarding in many ways.I have been into meditation off and on,but find myself getting more involved in it..is i have been having some evolving moments in my life
and am doing some research on different subjects......empathy,aura's,etc........
