Explore reasons for astral fatigue

Hi. I have been Astral Travelling & a vivid dreamer for many years now. I can still recall every detail the next morning, & I travel to lands far away spend a lot of time flying & meeting lots of new faces. My question is why do I feel so exhausted when I wake up? I am also a Spiritual Healer, & I feel my Guides & Angels require me for healing each night. I would like to communicate with them on a higher level, also to know how to bring myself back in the morning, as I feel a bit disconnected.

Thanks! M.

Dear M,

The fatigue you describe suggests you may need to focus your attention more.  Your functions on the physical plane suffer when you become fascinated and meander without control in astral.  You may notice moodiness or daydream as a distraction. As you evolve to choose to be less 'in ego' in waking life, you will become less taken with the novelty of each trip. Increasing self-awareness makes you less vulnerable to negative entities in astral.   Explore daytime relaxation exercises like mantra and visualisation.

As you progress far enough along your Esoteric path, you may choose specific beings or guides to assist you in astral.  Who you communicate with and how are based on your self-knowledge and vibration.  Exploring the astral enables you to explore your psyche.  The more you learn about yourself in waking life and through dreams, that is, the reasons underlying your thoughts, emotions and personality, the more profound and in-depth your Astral experiences become.  You can raise your vibration with thoughts and learning to understand your dreams.  What you manifest shapes your spiritual evolution.

Each of us progresses in astral at our own pace.  How long in 'human time' you sense you have been Astral traveller doesn't determine the nature of your progress.  Things like your level of consciousness during astral, ability to focus, dedication, discipline, daytime mindsets and pursuits all affect your astral experiences.  You may benefit from books such as, A Course in Astral Travel and Dreams by Belzebuub.  Studying with like-minded people will enrich your progress.  Local spiritualist churches often offer opportunities.  Free exercises, practices, courses and forums are found on: www.gnosticweb.com .

Hi Liara!

This was an interesting post, one of which I can def relate. I completely understand the feeling "M" has described. When I have been out of my body, I can feel soooo drained instead of energized. On these days, I will usually try to squeeze in a nap if I can and tell myself to stay put. What this does for me is it gives me the real well needed rest.

You are right about keeping the mind in the correct frame. Along with the relaxation & meditation, I would suggest to visualize any lingering energy, and encourage it to come back to the body.

Great answer Liara! I hope you have a lovely day!!!

Lucid, thanks for your input. When we're a little aware, we have a little understanding, and we can always learn from each other. When a person feels divided against the self, that is, torn between positive and negative feelings, this dissipates energy. Until we learn to shake habits of feeling anything other than completely positive, loving and self-accepting, our energy will not be overflowing. As we work through inner conflict or, 'emotional baggage,' then our psyche is less divided and we become more relaxed. Each person in charge of creating bliss. Our level of progress manifests in astral experiences.

Hi Liara,
Dreams mean so many things to so many people. One reason M may have been exhausted is that she is burning off an aspect of karma; be it past life, current state, etc. It has been my experience that when people wake up exhausted, they are fighting or running from something in the dream state.

I have always heard that it's better to have anightmare than to have it in waking like. I agree. We have to burn off the karma some way, why not in the dream state?

Great post!

Hi Alexys,
Your views are welcomed! I agree with you dreams can mean different things to different people. Only the dreamer truly knows the underlying reasons for dream events themselves. Feelings like exhaustion that are experienced may relate not only to a dream scenario, but also to what is going on beneath the surface at soul-level. Its all good because it reflects growth. In life, we each learn exactly what we're ready to learn.

Dear liara,
concise diagnosis and advice. M. focus again on his dream body while being awake. He starts mixing, that exhausts him.

rainer, you make a valid point. It may seem hard to train your mind to separate worlds. This is a sign your self-understanding is moving beyond the impulse to compare.
